For failing to comply with the rules that should have been communicated to you in advance of your reservation in the property listing for vacation rentals, and your understanding and comprehension should have been confirmed upon booking.

Why did they fine me?

Whether it's due to ignoring a notice of non-compliance with a regulation or violating a regulation that doesn't require a notice because it constitutes an illegal act.

Why did they fine me again?

For having violated the same rule again (it does not matter if the previous fine has already been paid) or for having violated a rule other than the one violated previously.

Why are the fines so expensive and their enforcement so strict, yet so intolerant?

The owner who offered you the property for vacation rental must have made you aware that this complex is a residential complex, not a vacation complex, so they seek to protect the environment by regulating activities for the peace of mind and quier of the owners who live in the residential complex. If everyone in your group follows the rules, there would be no need to worry about any fines.

How are fines calculated?

They are calculated based on the number of occupants living in the housing unit during the established period of stay, multiplied by $2,000.00 MX pesos (two thousand Mexican pesos) or its equivalent in US dollars.
