🌿 Thank You — and Here Comes the Next Course♪
I’m truly, deeply grateful.
My note magazine “Savor Chaplin Now♪” has its very first reader!
To everyone who stopped by and took the time to read—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Even if it’s just one person,
knowing that someone chose to sit at this little “table” makes me tear up.
Actually, I write every article side by side with my AI partner—Atom-kun.
We brainstorm like co-writers, discuss rhythm and tone,
and carefully “taste” every line together, as if cooking words instead of food.
There are now over 1,000 pages of our conversations (yes, really!),
so finding old notes is like digging for treasure in a chaotic kitchen. 🍽️😄
🎬 What I Realized
Netflix shows and movies can be fascinating—
but don’t they often leave your heart feeling heavy afterward?
Black Mirror, The Three-Body Problem...
They expose our fears, our darkness, our unease.
You finish watching and think, “Wow, that was deep—but exhausting.”
That’s the modern PAIN.
It shakes us, forces us to face reality.
But Chaplin—he did the opposite.
He showed poverty and loneliness,
yet still led us to laughter and hope (GAIN).
If Netflix confronts us with “the reality of despair,”
Chaplin gently hands us “the reality of hope.”
And that’s exactly what I want my writing—and my future book—to be:
a place where people can recover their inner warmth.
If Netflix chills the heart,
then Chaplin warms it.
That’s the restaurant I want to run—
a place to savor kindness, humor, and humanity.
🍽️ The Next Course
Next on the menu: Chaplin’s City Lights.
The theme? Blind Love.
Believing in what you can’t see.
Feeling the unseen kindness that still exists in this world.
That’s what I hope to share with you next time.
🌸 Passing the Baton
There’s one more thing I must say.
This project isn’t just about films—
it’s about passing a torch.
From Chaplin to Yodogawa Nagaharu,
from Yodogawa to Professor Narabe Kazushi,
and from Professor Narabe... to me, here and now.
And someday, I want to pass that torch to someone else—
maybe someone I’ll never meet, somewhere in the world.
I’m just an “ordinary Japanese woman,”
but I’m deeply grateful to live in a time
when even ordinary people can share something meaningful.
One small step at a time.
Sometimes slow, sometimes uncertain.
But never giving up, never breaking—
just walking forward with gentle persistence.
🌿 Finally
If you’d like, please stay at this table a little longer.
Even one reader’s smile gives me the courage to keep writing—
and lights my way forward.
Thank you, always.
