Behind this beautiful wall, you can see an old storehouse (kura) and a traditional-style house to which a Western-style extension was added. A chaotic combination? Not at all I’d say, as I feel a quiet sense of harmony.

It reminds me also of the house from the Totoro anime.

Note that the house is not open to visitors.
