(English follows)
For fulfilling life ~ Full-bloomed cherry blossoms (3)
Stay optimistic
During the first year of COVID, there was no one walking along the cherry‑blossom path at Roppongi Midtown near my workplace. I still remember the indescribable feeling I had when I saw the trees blooming so vibrantly, just as they always did, even though no one was there to admire them. But at least I saw them. And they moved me.
When I think about how those cherry trees must have simply trusted in a future they couldn’t see, doing their best in the moment they were given, I feel as if the idea I noted about earlier column makes a little more sense.
