今朝、おかしな体験をした。
昨年の暮れ、高級ブティックの前を通ったとき、かっこいいコートが目に入った。いいコートがあったら買って大切に着よう、とずっと思っていたので、お店に入ってみた。素材や肌触りは抜群によく、少し高価だったのでサイズが合うなら買おう、と試着をお願いした。
「あいにくお客様に合うサイズを切らしています」私をざっと眺めた店員さんは言った。
一目惚れしたこともあり、とても残念な気持ちで店を出た。

This morning, I had a strange experience.
Late last year, when I was walking past a high‑end boutique, a stylish coat caught my eyes. I’d always thought that if I ever found a really good coat, I’d buy it and take good care of it, so It made me step inside. The material and texture were exceptionally good, and although it was a bit expensive, I told myself I’d buy it if they had my size, and asked the clerk to try it on.
“I’m afraid we’re out of the size that would fit you,” he said after giving me a quick once‑over.
Since it was love at first sight, I left the store feeling very disappointed.
