Live in this place
本作《この場所で生きる》は2か月間、葛尾村に滞在する中で、見たこと、聞いたこと、体験したことをもとに制作しました。
自転車や徒歩で散策を行い、山に登り、川に入り、たくさんの動植物に出会いました。また、村民へのインタビューを行い、山とともに生きる暮らしのこと、昔の暮らしのこと、葛尾村に残したいことをうかがいました。そして、葛尾村での滞在ではじめて山や自然とともに生きる生活を体感しました。フキをむくこと、保存食を作ること、人に分け与えること。山や畑や田んぼの様子を自分の身体のように気にすること。山で何が食べられるか身をもって知っていること。そんな、自然へのまなざしを持っていること。
どうか、この葛尾の暮らしがずっと続いていきますように。
"Live in this place" came out of what I saw, heard, and experienced during the two months I spent in Katsurao. In the course of my rambles on foot and by bicycle, I went up mountains and through rivers, and came across many plants and animals. I also interviewed village residents about life out in the mountains, how people lived in the past, and what they wanted to leave behind in Katsurao. During this residency, I experienced for the first time a life of coexistence with nature: Peeling fuki stalks to make preserves and sharing them with others, giving the same attention to the forests, fields, and rice paddies as to one's own body, knowing firsthand which wild plants are edible ―in other words, keeping one's eyes open to the natural world.
My wish is that this way of life may continue in Katsurao forever.

2015年 筑波大学芸術専門学群美術専攻洋画コース 卒業
絵描き。1992年群馬県生まれ。筑波大学を卒業後、活動拠点を関東から愛媛県松山市へ移す。動物と植物と人の関係性を見つめ、人が自然として存在する世界をテーマに制作を続けている。主な活動歴として、個展「土に還りて、土に生まれる」（ギャラリー リブ・アート／愛媛、2023）、「かがわ・山なみ芸術祭2022AYAGAWA」での壁画制作（綾川町立西分公民館／香川、2022）、「群馬青年ビエンナーレ2017」入選（群馬県立近代美術館／群馬、2017）、「別府現代芸術フェスティバル2015 混浴温泉世界 わくわく混浴デパートメント」での滞在制作（トキハ別府店／大分、2015）。また、地域などの特徴を感じ取って描き表す紙人形「こびと」を制作する「こびと製作所」としても活動。

Painter. Born in Gunma, Japan in 1992. After graduating from Tsukuba University, She moved her base of activities from the Kanto region to Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. She looks at the relationship between animals, plants, and people, and work on the theme of a world in which people exist as nature. Her main activities include the solo exhibition “Return to the earth, be born of the earth” (gallery Live Art / Ehime, 2023), wall painting “Kagawa Yamanami Arts Festival 2022 AYAGAWA” (Ayagawa Town Nishibun Community Center / Kagawa, 2022), “The 13th Gunma Biennale for Young Artists 2017” (The Museum of Modern Art Gunma / Gunma, 2017), Artist in Residence “Beppu Contemporary Art Festival Mixed Bathing World 2015, WAKUWAKU KONYOKU Department” (TOKIWA in Beppu). She is also active as a “kobito factory,” creating paper dolls called “kobito” that she senses regional and other characteristics and paints.
