葛尾村でのフィールドワークにて、村民の方々ヘインタビューを行い、村の歴史や慣習、行事の話や個人的な思い出などを語っていただいた。思えば、作家として滞在期間中に村について調べていたことは、 村外から訪れてみて何となく感じた違和感の理由を追っていたのだと思う。 村の昔の物語を、めったに開かなくなった本の集積にイメージを重ねている。
In my fieldwork in Katsurao, I interviewed the residents who told me about the village's history and customs, stories about its festivals, and their personal memories. When I consider why I tried to learn about the village during my residency, I think it was because I was looking for the source of the incongruity I felt when I first visited as an outsider. I superimposed images of the village's old tales over stacks of books that are now rarely ever opened.

「時間・記憶・アニミズム」などをテーマに写真や絵から１枚１枚描き起こした数千枚もの層を時系列で映像にする。映像は投影される場所と記憶の積み重なりとが交錯することで時空を超越するかのような作品を作りだす。
主な活動に、小豆島アーティストインレジデンス in Spring (2010), 瀬戸内国際芸術祭(2016), 六甲ミーツアート(2017), 個展 「△と布置」（ASK-P／東京,2021）など。受賞歴 群馬青年ビエンナーレ2008 2010入選

Yume works on the theme of ‘time, memory and animism’. She creates images of thousands of layers drawn one by one from photographs and paintings in chronological order. She then transcends time and space by intersecting the place where the images are projected with the layers of memory.
