Surrounding a Well in a Valley Village
葛尾村内を巡りながら撮影した風景の写真の中からモチーフを選び取り、再解釈を加えつつ、知っているようでどこか遠い、少し違う姿を持たせた立体作品を制作しました。葛尾村の方々から譲り受けたものや滞在中に手に入れた素材を、本来とは異なる扱い方で用いながら作品を構成しています。葛尾村立葛尾中学校 休校中校舎内に新たな風景として展開していくことで、普段見慣れた「日常の風景」に対する再認識を異他なる視点から試みてみました。また作品と共に、葛尾村に来て撮った写真と、そうではない遠いどこかの風景の写真を織り交ぜながら展示室内に広げています。葛尾村の風景がどこかの遠い地点と接続されていく。そのような感覚的な広がりが生まれたのではないかと感じています。
I selected motifs from landscape photographs taken around Katsurao Village and reinterpreted them to create three-dimensional objects that seem familiar, yet somehow distant and different. They were constructed from items donated by the people of Katsurao and materials acquired during my residency, but used in ways other than their original purpose. By installing them throughout the now-closed Katsurao Junior High School, the scenery of the school was transformed. In this way, I attempted to reexamine familiar, "everyday scenery" from a stranger’s perspective. Alongside the work, a mix of photographs taken in Katsurao and others depicting distant places are spread around the exhibition space. They create a sense of expansiveness, as though those other locations and Katsurao are connected.

2001年 神奈川生まれ。武蔵野美術大学 彫刻学科 修士課程在学中。FRPをはじめとする工業的な素材を用いながら、特定の用途のために生産されたものを彷彿とさせるような立体作品を制作する。物体の認識に対する疑問を投げかけ、「日々見てきたものの正体」を再考することを試みている。

Born in Kanagawa in 2001. Currently studying for a master’s degree in sculpture at Musashino Art University. Using industrial materials such as FRP, she creates three-dimensional works that are reminiscent of objects produced for specific purposes. She questions the perception of objects and attempts to reconsider “the true nature of the things we see every day.”
