Shitsu Village 出津集落

Arrived at Shitsu Bunka-mura
from Nagasaki Station 長崎駅 via Sakura-no-sato Terminal 桜の里ターミナル

I began my walk in Shitsu Village at Shitsu Church.

Ōno Village 大野集落

I took a bus from Shitsu 出津 to Ōno 大野.
This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Ōno Catholic Church 大野教会堂
Ōno Shrine 大野神社
The hidden Christians ostensibly became shrine parishioners (氏子) of the Ōno Shrine and continued their own faith in secret, while feigning faith in Shintōism.
Looking at Gotō-nada Sea 五島灘
The island in the right hand side must be Ike Island (Ikejima 池島),
once prospered from the Ikejima coal mine (池島炭鉱), but the mine closed in 2001.
On a clear day, the shadows of the islands of the Gotō Archipelago 五島列島 can be seen beyond the Sumō-nada Sea 角力灘 (the coastal waters of the Nishisonogi Peninsula in the Gotō-nada Sea).
