【ボーイスカウト～カブ隊副長英語日記～】5月24日 楽しい遊びを考える
英語学習していると、英語日記をつけてみたいと
思うものの、面倒くさくなりがち。
三日坊主で終わってしまいます。
けど、英語のスキルをあげていきたい以上、
なんか楽しい方法はないかなと
思っていたら、
「そうか、スカウト活動を
英語日記にすればいいじゃん！」✨

Assistant Leader (Me): Before we start today's activities, let's review last week. Do you remember “The Three Rules of Safety”?
Safety is the highest priority.
Protect your own safety yourself.
Follow the rules.
Scouts: Yes! OK!
✉️ 【A letter from someone】
Assistant Leader: Everyone, what are we doing today?
Scouts: Playtime!
Assistant Leader: That's right. But before that, we have a letter from someone.
Scouts: Huh? Who is it? The leader? The assistant leader?
Assistant Leader: No, it’s not. We met them last year.
Last June, I took the Cub Scouts to a park. Usually, it is just a normal park, but on that day, it turned into an "adventure playground."
It was full of children and adults!
There were crafts, plate spinning, handmade swings, Tarzan ropes with tires, and much more. The Cub Scouts had a wonderful time there.
Now, a letter has arrived from "someone" we met at the playground.
Assistant Leader: They said, "We will hold the Adventure Plaza again this year. Please come and play with us!"
Scouts: Wow!
Assistant Leader: And we received a mission!
Scouts: Huh?

Let's practice Scout Songs!
Let's think of a game that everyone can enjoy!
Let's have fun together with everyone in the park!
Assistant Leader: They want us to sing and play games together at the "Adventure Plaza." So, let's practice now!
Some scouts were a little shy, but today's group leader, R-kun, said:
"Let's liven up the park together!"
With that one word, everyone became excited. Thank you, R-kun!
Now, let's move to the green space.
🎵 【Mission 1: Practicing Scout Songs】
We will sing with the children at the Adventure Plaza, so let's add some choreography (actions). We practiced "Yupoiyaiyai" and "Rock My Soul." Everyone was in a great mood!
Mission 1 complete! ✨
🏃 【Mission 2: Let's the game everyone can enjoy!】
Assistant Leader: What do you want to play?
Scouts: Cops and robbers! / Insect hunting! / Hide and seek! / Jump rope! / Dodgeball!
Assistant Leader: Okay. Which game can we all play together?
After talking, we decided to play "Cops and Robbers" and "Jump Rope."
So, what are the rules for cops and robbers?
How many people will play?
Where is the playing area?
We all thought about it and actually played the game, but...
For some reason, two scouts were picking up leaves. Why? 🍂
A "robber" who was about to be caught by the "police" was throwing leaves at them!
Oh, let's stop doing that.
There won't be any leaves to throw at the real adventure playground! 😅
Next, we tried jump rope. We all jumped together and played "The Postman" game. This looks good, doesn't it? It is important to watch your surroundings.
