The DC Society of Art Rock presents Cassandra Syndrome Tuesday, August 28th at the Ocean Drive Club in Silver Spring, MD. 18+, $8 cover. Show starts at 9 pm. This is our last local DC/MD show until late October as we'll be playing out of town in September at the Pagan Pride Festivals up in New York City and Andover, Massachusetts (near Salem!). The club is much with the awesome, there's free parking right across the street, it's just a couple blocks from the Wheaton metro stop, plus we might even have some surprises in store. excitedThis Saturday, September 16th, is the NSVPA's Pagan Pride Day in Winchester, Virginia from 9am-6pm. The event will be taking place at the UU Church of the Shenadoah Valley, 6380 Valley Pike, Stephen's City, VA 22655. Directions can be found here...
The festival will include classes, vendors galore, and, if last year was any indication, some great music. The female-fronted dark metal stylings of Cassandra Syndrome will be featured at 4pm, folk-rockers extraordinaire DragonSong at 3pm, and the acoustic alchemy of Scott Helland will be at noon.
This festival will be the first of three PPD's Cassandra Syndrome will be participating in this year, with the others being the New York City and Washington, DC Pagan Pride Days.
Admission is a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank. So, come on out, meet some cool new people, see some great bands, have a good time, and support a good cause. Hope to see you there!

curiouscassyndrome and a couple personal journals...and stuff. ;) excitedSorry for the late notice!!! This Saturday, February 4th, at Esoterica in Leesburg, Virginia, is Brigid's Faire, an annual all-day music festival. It's a lot of fun and the acts are great. The lineup:
2:15-3:15 pm Peter Fields - instrumental guitarist with a really nifty percussionist
3:45-5 pm Lauren Kendall - Wonderful vocals, piano, cello and percussion. Kind of Tori-esque, but with a cello. ;)
5:30 - 6:45 pm Rhianon - Get your Celt-rock on
7:15 - 8:30 pm Scott Helland - Rocking instrumental guitarist down from New York. Very funny, great crowd interaction.
9 pm - ? - Blue Knight - Fantastic stuff--world/celt/folk rock. Great vocals, lyrics, and stage presence...plus they use a psaltery! ;)
We're not playing this year, but the Cassandra Syndrome/Revel Moon crew will be there running sound and so forth, and we'll probably end up doing a bit of partying after the show's over. So, if you're able, come on out, see some excellent musicians, watch us be goofy behind the board (just like when we're on stage...except different), and maybe catch a few drinks with us later! Should be a really good time. :D
