the drive down from austin was really nice. we left late so we caught a bit of traffic as we were exiting dallas/ft. worth. around 15 minutes outside of austin, we were really empty on gas, and it was a good thing that melissa noticed, because right after we took an exit and got on the access road, our car just about broke down. i mean, the acceleration compltetely stopped and it was difficult to brake and steer. THANKFULLY the gas station was really close. it was a trip.
we arrived in austin like around 8:45 or 9. only katherine was home. after i had a drink and some noodles, we went off to spider house with neesha to get some coffee. melissa and i walked to get some food for me. i got beans and rice, 3 protein bars, an orange, and a root beer. on the way back i was singing "camel toe" by fanny pack. god that song is so funny. i want a fanny pack album now.
then we got back to the house and shortly after brea and zane came by. i was on my second drink by then. we were watching bjork's "vessel." then i went out to smoke and katherine accompanied me. i really like her a lot. she's very cool. i like it that she's really into school and learning and she told me that's dorky and boring, but i thought it was really cool. we came back in and i popped in a sonic youth video and started my third drink. ba-da-bing.
katherine left to spend the night at someone else's house and brea went to sleep. melissa and neesha are watching a league of their own and i am on the computer reading sparknotes on catcher in the rye FOR FUN. imagine that. i really like that book and i want i to be one of those books that i read like every other month, or every month. i'm not sure what i like about it. i just love j.d. salinger. i mean, on the surface, his stories seem very random and often non-sensical, but there is a lot of symbolism and meaning to it. i really wish sparknotes had notes on nine stories, because i am SO confused when i read it sometimes. i don't know what he's trying to get across. i'm a thick mothafucka. :(
okay, god, i really have a jones-ing to read catcher now. maybe i will buy another copy while i'm down here. i just really wish i had one right now. but i really should not start it yet because i really need to get thru reading the chosen.
okay that is the end of my story. we're going out to eat with a lot of people tomorrow. and i REALLY want to go swimming. katherine was telling me about these botanical gardens and natural springs, and i SO want to go. work on my tan, you know how we do.
okay this is really the end of my story. good night. COMMENT! i really like comments.
