Prompt Round: Posting Guidelines

Hello, everyone! I am so sorry it took so long to get this post up. Here are posting procedures for whenever you are ready to post your fic/art/whatever. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, please leave a comment to this post and I will answer it.

Posting Procedures

1. Please use this header for posting:

Authors

Artists

If your piece does not include any sexual activity, you may remove that line from the disclaimer. If you are posting something other than a fic or piece of art, tailor the header to your own needs or let me know and I will tailor it for you.

2. Your subject line should follow this format: [FIC/ART] "Title" by username (rating)

3. Put the body of your fic or art behind an LJ-cut. If your post does not utilize a cut, the post will be rejected. You may also include a link to an unflocked post on your own journal, but that post must adhere to all of the rules set out in this post.

4. Authors, please make sure that the body of your fic is easy to read. Double space between paragraphs. Do not include font, text size, or text color tags unless they are essential to the reading of your fic.

5. All posts must include accurate warnings and ratings. Please consider all content that might be hurtful or make readers/viewers uncomfortable. Please remember that this community does not tolerate homophobic, racist, sexist, ableist, transphobic, or otherwise prejudiced ideals. Posts endorsing these values will be rejected, and members who promote these values in comments may be banned without warning. If you touch upon these issues in your work, please use appropriate warnings. Posts that do not employ appropriate warnings will be rejected.

6. Fics must be looked over by a beta reader before submission. I will glance over every piece that is submitted for this fest to check that a) the work adheres to all community rules, b) that the header has been filled out properly, with appropriate warnings, and c) for overall readability. If I feel that your fic has not been properly betaed (i.e. there are multiple typos, grammar errors, et al. that make it very difficult to read the fic) then I will reject your post and ask you to repost after you've had it betaed. I also reserve the right to reject posts that fail to meet the standards for length. (Please do not let any of this make you nervous! I only want to make sure that all posts in this community are easy to read/view and do not contain unwarned-for content that may make some members uncomfortable.) You are welcome to repost after you have fixed the error(s)!

I will be setting up a beta post for anyone who needs help finding a beta.

7. Artists, please use your best judgment with sizing. If your file is very large, please shrink it or include it as a linked photo, so that viewers must click the smaller version of the picture to see the large version. Try not to break anyone's computer! ;)

8. Please refer to the community rules post for more information about participation requirements.

Let me know if you have any questions! ♥
