 Is alive and well :)

That's my update.

Holy crap it's been a while.

Deleting LJ

Aug. 23rd, 2009 | 03:53 pm
mood: embarrassed embarrassed

So this morning I was on LJ I went ahead and deleted most of the people I have as friends on my LJ. Not because I stopped being friends with them, or  whatever reason could be derived, I just don't read/use it much so I slashed most of my list. I use facebook more and it's easier for people to tell me what's new in their lives on there rather than on here.

I'm sorry if I surprised/offended anyone. I still loves ya, I'm just not on here. You'd do best to chat with me on FB or MSN :)

Wondering,...

Do adoptions have to go through an agency? What if you know someone that is pregnant and doesn't want it but wants to let you adopt it?

Things to do before you're 30!

Jan. 17th, 2009 | 10:38 pm

So, this fall I'll turn 30 years old. That's weird because for the most part I still feel 16, granted 16 with a mortgage and huge assed debt but still 16.

So Ross suggested that we check out going to La Tomatina for my birthday. I have begged him to go for years. It's the last Wednesday in August and it would be the one thing I really want to do before I'm 30. Which started me thinking, What else is there that you should do before you turn 30? I have 9 months to get everything in. A quick online search gave me these 10 to start with:

1. Drive a wickedly cool car, even if you have to rent it.
Done, It was a brand new Cadillac and man was it nice. It's not a farari or anything like that but I loved that car. We rented it for three days for Ross's uncle's funeral.

2. Date against type. LOL Well, I've dated the gambit of men and have some interesting stories that I'll charish later.

3. See the world. Done that, Getting stranded in England with no money, id other than your passport and no where to do really does teach you a thing or two about yourself.

4. Live in a cool place. I've lived in tons of cities and all manner of homes. Some great, some lame but I think I can check this one off.

5. If you're going to drink a lot, do it when you're young. LMAO Definitely a good place to start and I think I've covered it. It's not as pretty when the hangovers last for more than a day.

6. Take risks with your job. I just finished this one, I quit Pemco and started working for the Cash Store in a position I sought.

7. Do something physically adventurous. And do it OUTSIDE! This one, I always thought would be sky diving. BUT since that's not likely I'll have to try to go to La Tomatina and hopefully that'll cover this one.

8. Take your parents to dinner. Done

9. Do volunteer work. Done often since I was little.

10. Use this decade to go to extremes. I think I have but there's still some things that I think I can do.

Any other good suggestions you have for someone that'll be 30  by the end of the year?

So I've been writing a fan fic (Lame I grant you but I find it fun) and am going to set up a filter on my LJ. IF you wanna read it, just email me and I'll add you. If you don't, that's awesome too. :)

It was more just a "hey, I wrote this. Wanna see?" kinda thing :)

( The good, the bad, and the ugly of my weekendCollapse )

One good thing

Nov. 21st, 2008 | 08:32 pm

For the heck of it, (I've been reading/watching the news stories lately and needed some positivity to counter balance it)

One good thing from today... I bought shoes for the company Christmas party tomorrow AND THEY WERE ON SALE!!!.

One good thing about my world... I have a loving, sweet, kind, patient and understanding husband that not only loves me but I love him in return.

One good thing to look forward to... We have our information session for adoption in January (I know the sentence sucked but that's okay)

One reason for my good mood... dragging myself to the gym at 5 am, and had the best workout ever!!!
