I taught my first bellydance class this past Monday. What fun! I filled in for my friend Genny who is on her honeymoon. The class was an hour long, and I hope I helped some of the ladies feel good about themselves. Most of the ladies are taking bellydance for the exercise, and God bless them, they are kinda awful. I guess if you got it, you got it, and I got it. They bounce up and down horribly when they do their hip lifts, but whatever! They had fun and they laughed and I made them feel frisky and pretty, or at least I hope I did.

This was 2 days after I visited Rakkasah, a big east coast middle-eastern dance festival, and got a gorgeous new belly dance outfit. I'll post pics....someday. I'm glad I saw priestesm there, she got to reassure me that I spent my money well. Believe me, I almost had to sell a kidney for that outfit.

Last night I went to a seminar on InVitro Fertilization, hosted by my reproductive clinic, RMA. My mother accompanied me since Peter was busy Mooking it up for Mook Radio in the city (hope some of you listened). I'm glad she was there because I did tear up in the beginning, but felt better by the end. For anyone interested, the chances of having a child with Down Syndrome or any other chromosomal abnormality are not increased drastically above the population, but there is a slight increased risk in any couple diagnosed with infertility to have a child like that...regardless of how they get pregnant. The doctor spoke about the procedures, of which I had a bit of an idea already through aryiana. Come hell or high water, dammit. :-)
