A Size WHAT??????
Yesterday, instead of going to an awesome haunted house with people, most of whom I dont care about, I went shopping and to my mother's house for dinner. (And yes, everyone who punked out is a douche, w/ very few exceptions. Erika, you're one of them.)
I need a dress for Robbie & Maya's wedding on Saturday so I combed through Willowbrook to find one. In Macy's I saw some potential, but I wasn't terribly sure I loved them enough to buy them. However, a dress was left in my stall and it was an interesting design, but it was a size 6. A size 8 is still a bit tight for me, I thought I'd just get it over my head and look at the style.
The size 6 fit me like a glove, zippered up and everything.
*commences hyperventilating*
I haven't been a size 6 since before I was married, and while I know it's one of those size sixes that really isn't a size 6, and was probably marked wrong, I felt my taste buds do a collective jump for joy. This, I said to my cravings, is why you haven't had a slice of pizza since May. (Oh, and the wanting baby part, too.)
I almost bought that dress on the principal alone. But I didn't, as it was more than I wanted to spend on a dress, it was black and white, and while pretty, it didn't knock me over. Meh, I'll look around tonight.
Mom got her slide projector working, so I was happily subjected to pictures of myself and my sister in the late 70's...God what an awful decade for clothes. Strange how many of my pictures were of me rolling my eyes. Pics of my dad back then resemble Jeffrey from Project Runway (unfortunately for my dad)...
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I fucking hate Jeffrey. He's a dick. His clothes are insipid and one note...well, aren't they all? Each designer has a specific vision...Uli is to make awful print dresses (sorry America, not every woman wants to wear her crap) and Michael went from sort-of interesting to absolute rubbish. Laura is still working only in elegance and glamour. I really hope she has a collection, I would totally buy from her. She showed she was a bitch but she was still awesome and I freaking love her! Jeffrey was just as much as a mean bitch as she was with his comments, but no one is going to say he was a bitch, because he's a guy. Euch, whatever. I don't have to buy Jeffrey's clothes, and you can bet you're ass I won't.
