You bring the performing arts to life

Every gift ignites imagination in artists and audiences across Canada.

Quote from Juniper Locilento, MPNL, CFRE

“Arts shape our national identity. Your generosity helps ensure Canadian stages reflect the diversity and creativity of who we are. Together, we can strengthen how the world sees Canada, while shaping a cultural future that belongs to all of us.”

500+ Arts professionals supported

45,500+ Young minds inspired

Youth and children experience live performance at the NAC through family concerts, student matinees and workshops.

Quote from Nina Lee Aquino

As donors, you matter deeply. You turn quiet, imaginative vision into lived, shared experience. You become part of the circle—part of the fuel, the scaffolding, the support—that allows Canadian artists to do their work. You help weave the stories that ignite the laughter, the tears, the wonder we feel in the theatre. And you help carry the transformation that unfolds long after the curtain falls.”

The Next Act

Canadian stages reflect who we are and who we aspire to be. They tell our stories, celebrate our diversity, and shape how the world sees Canada.

The arts are essential to Canada’s identity and future. Through The Next Act Campaign, we’re re-imagining a performing arts sector that is inclusive, innovative, and sustainable—one that ensures creativity thrives for generations to come.

Together, we can write the next act for Canadian performing arts by championing creation, performance, training, learning and reconciliation across the country.

Creation

Transform creative dreams into bold new productions.

Artistic visions come to life through the National Creation Fund, along with  music, dance and theatre co-productions and commissions. The National Creation Fund alone has invested in more than 100 new Canadian productions, where artists push boundaries and bring ambitious work to the stage.

Your gift will fund the stories of the future that must be told.

Performance

Elevate Canadian artists at home and on the world stage.

The arts reflect who we are. The more we share our stories across the country and around the world, the more we will come to understand ourselves and each other more deeply.

Training

Help artists grow to ensure a thriving arts future.

Hundreds of artists and performing arts professionals participate in our professional development programs each year. Your gift will support diverse and emerging artists who broaden our minds and horizons, today and into the future.

Learning and engagement

Open doors to the performing arts for young people.

Each year, over 45,500 children and youth delight in our programs for younger audiences, from family concerts to student matinees and workshops. You can support programs that inspire young people to fall in love with the arts.

Reconciliation

Amplify Indigenous voices, cultures and languages.

Each year, more than 100 Indigenous-led performances, workshops and learning experiences enrich our stages. These stories support a journey towards reconciliation. Your generosity will help elevate countless more Indigenous voices in the years to come and build bridges that heal.
