I asked this earlier and no one responded, so I'm going to try rewording it.

My period has been going on since March (eeep, right?) Well on 9/9 I went to a gyn and she gave me birth control to help regulate it, which is what most of you said would happen. However, it's now uh 3 weeks later, and I'm still bleeding. It's been just some spotting (which she said was normal) but now that I'm on my 3 week, it's a lil heavier, and I'm having cramps and some.... soreness. She said not to be surprised if I did start a period before I got to the green ones.

My question is - is it normal for it to be so up and down, or should I have stopped bleeding pretty soon after I started taking the pills? Or, is my body just having to readjust to having these pills in my system? It' scary because she said if it didn't work, she'd have to do blood work, which means there's something other than a hormone problem....a friend seems to think it could be pcos. She gave me a 3 month supply, and wants to see me again in 3 months, could it take up to 3 months for it to be completely regulated back to normal?

Help!! :o)

current mood: worried
