Maria Magdalena Andrejczyk is a Javelin Thrower from Poland[1]

She became famous after she sold her Tokyo Olympic medal to raise money for an baby boy's surgery. The medal was brought by a convenience store chain that returned it to her.[2]

Andrejczyk used to suffer from Bone cancer.[3]

Personal life

She is a Roman Catholic. She once said "Our parents brought us up in a deep Catholic faith. This faith is very important in my life."[4]
