Rafał Kazimierz Trzaskowski (pronounced Ra-fow Tsha-sko-fsky [tʂaskɔfski]; born 17 January 1972) is a Polish politician. In November 2018, he became the Mayor of Warsaw. He is also a political scientist.
In May 2020, Trzaskowski became the Civic Platform's candidate for Presidency of Poland in the presidential election.[1] He lost the election to former President Andrzej Duda.[2] In 2025 he tried again, but he lost to incumbent President Karol Nawrocki. Before officailly losing, he believed to have won and celebrated his premature victory, which is why he is sometimes reffered to as the "two-hour President."
