Shards of glass hit the carpet as Cook’s fist collides with the picture frame.
There is a searing pain in his knuckles quickly moving to the pit of his stomach, when he realizes what he had just done. He stares at the shattered glass no knowing what to do next.
So he walks away, too angry and too ashamed to do anything else. Leaving the mess to Freddie.
And Freddie finds it, the glass laying broken on the floor, just like their friendship. He doesn’t want to fix it, doesn’t want to clean it up. He just stares at it, knowing that even if he can glue the pieces back together, it won’t ever be the same again.
