Automatic speech recognition (ASR)

Speechius advances when it recognizes upcoming words in your script, not on a timer. If it loses your place after a detour, click any word to re-anchor it.

Projects and autosave

Organize multiple scripts in projects, switch between them and pick up where you left off. Your changes are saved automatically.

Import and export

Capture-exclusion mode

Speechius uses the operating system's window-exclusion API to keep the prompter out of common capture paths. It is tested with Zoom, Meet, Teams and OBS; Windows requires version 10 2004 or newer, or Windows 11.

Local-first speech recognition

Windows recognition runs locally with bundled models. On macOS, Speechius requests Apple's on-device recognition and shows a notice if macOS falls back to standard recognition. Speechius itself does not upload your audio or scripts.

Slide triggers

Set trigger words that advance your slides automatically as you speak, so both hands stay free and your eyes stay on camera.

Always on top

Keep the prompter above other windows. In PowerPoint on Windows, use Reading View in a window; the full-screen slideshow can cover Speechius.

Adjustable transparency

Make the window see-through, from subtle to nearly invisible, so you can read your script and watch what's behind it at the same time.

Lost your place or jumped ahead? Click any word to move the cursor straight there, or hold Shift while scrolling to move word by word.

Adjustable reading line

Drag the anchor line to set where your eyes rest - line it up with your camera so your gaze stays on the lens, not down at the text.

Adjustable text size

Scale the speaker text from 50% to 200% - from the compact popover or with keyboard shortcuts. Highlight, anchor line and reading position stay precisely aligned.

Live transcript

A live readout in the toolbar shows the last words the recognizer heard, so you always know it's tracking you - and can step in the moment it drifts.

Is there a free trial?
Yes - 14 days, full feature set, no card required. The trial starts on your first speaking session, not at install.
Can I get a refund after purchasing?
Speechius includes a 14-day free trial with the full feature set and no card required, so you can verify that it suits you before buying. Completed purchases are generally non-refundable. This does not limit mandatory consumer rights, including rights where a product is not as described, faulty or not fit for purpose. If you have a technical problem, contact support@speechius.com first so we can help. Eligible refunds are requested from and processed by Paddle under its Refund Policy.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and keep the version. 12 months of updates are included; after that the app keeps working.
What happens after the 12 months of updates?
Your version keeps running indefinitely - nothing gets switched off. The first 12 months of updates are included; afterwards you can optionally renew to keep receiving new versions. Founding buyers keep their discounted renewal price for good.
On how many devices can I use it?
Pro covers one person on up to 2 devices; Studio covers one company with up to 5 seats. Both include the full feature set.
Which languages are supported?
English and German - for both the speech recognition and the app interface. You can set the recognition language independently from the interface language.
How does the undetectable mode work?
Speechius uses documented macOS and Windows APIs to exclude its window from normal screen-capture paths. It is tested with Zoom, Meet, Teams and OBS. Capture methods that bypass the operating system's window exclusion, and a camera pointed at your display, can still record it. Windows requires version 10 2004 or newer, or Windows 11.
Do I need an internet connection?
Windows speech recognition works offline with bundled models. On macOS, offline recognition depends on Apple's on-device recognition being available; Speechius shows a notice if macOS falls back to standard recognition. Paid licenses also need periodic online revalidation and can continue offline for up to 14 days after a successful check.
Is my data shared?
Speechius does not send your audio or scripts to Speechius servers. On macOS, standard Apple recognition may be used if on-device recognition is unavailable. License checks send the transaction ID and connection data needed to verify the license, and technical crash reports go to Sentry's EU region. Speechius does not attach audio or script content to those reports.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 13 or newer (Apple Silicon or Intel) or Windows 10/11, plus a working microphone.
Is there a Windows version?
Yes. Speechius is available for Windows 10/11 and macOS. Windows uses bundled local speech models; macOS uses Apple Speech and requests on-device recognition first. Capture exclusion on Windows requires version 10 2004 or newer, or Windows 11.
Where do I find my license key?
You'll receive it by email after purchase. Enter it in the app under Settings → License.
