Superliminal 2?
This game is one of a kind and I really love it, so I wanted to know if there's a possibility of a sequel or more content in the future

Really hoping for another part as well. Easily one of the best puzzle games to exist :D
it would be great to see a colab-project between ( portal / stanley parable / and superliminal ) since they compliment eachother so well.

that would be insane ngl
The superliminal parable ultra extreme deluxe
If there's a second one, I really really hope there will be some technical improvements as well. Fix glitches like the fact that objects can behave irrationally, bouncing around wildly and whatnot, or even outright disappearing. Or add helpful things like a shadow to help you see the exact spot where you're standing. As much as I like Superliminal, I hope for a smoother experience next time, especially if there's going to be something similar to the chess piece hunt.

But they're still adding updates to the first installment, so I suppose a sequel isn't on their mind at the moment. I would still like to see some features added to the first one, like a room (like the place at the main menu) where you can play with all the eggs you've found so far, or being able to skip to a specific challenge in Challenge mode.

I actually didn't mind objects behaving weird sometimes. It kinda fits the context of being in a dream. But yeah if it affects gameplay in a bad way then it should def get improved

It doesn't matter much if you just want to finish the story, but if you're trying something difficult like to get certain achievements or reach collectibles or secrets it can be really frustrating.

true
I want a sequel very much! But In terms of story I don't know how they can top the first game. They totally got me! So it won't work again the same way.

Maybe it could be a prequel instead, looking at Dr. Pierce's development testing?

or perhaps an whole new chapter to the story, for instance what Dr. pierce did after his dream diving experiments.

- so far we've gone into the unconscious. ( dreams )
but we still have yet to go into the:
- subconscious. ( fragmented thoughts )
- semiconscious. ( phasing between states of being )
- conscious. ( outside the dream )
- and artificial conscious. ( AR syndrome = seeing artificial reality while fully conscious ).

so there's still quite a few levels of potential left to explore.

Or it could be the same technology in a context other than therapy (eg preparing people for a job that requires imagination and good perception of space? or preparing them for exploring an unknown world with different dimensions, where we don't know how things work? there may be other possibilities).

Or go the other way and really lean into the "therapy" aspect, but see it applied differently; after all, each patient is different, so they don't all need the same thing... How about showing someone how to see things from another person's perspective, to help them empathise?

I think these two directions allow for some new gameplay elements, too! Whereas a prequel couldn't introduce something new ;)

That would be a great direction to go. A nice storyline would be a patient(you) goes into the same sleep therapy as the first game. As the game progresses, things seems off as if you are going through layers in a dream. With each layer, things get progressively dark. You eventually figure out that it isn't what you signed up for and try to escape the dream. However, nothing makes sense and decisions have contradictory results. When you finally escape, you wake up in a mental ward.
That would be really cool. Because it would be cool to see some kind of improved course for a new character! :alarm_clock:
