Fix for stuttering on desktop/laptop after 24/07/2025 update
If your laptop or desktop use realtek lan drivers from manufacturer or you have newer one you will get micro stutter after 3-4 minutes in game. This is caused by EAC scanning realtek lan driver and causing high cpu usage. Everytime you get a stutter you can observe event viewer spammed with errors: event id 2 (rt26cx21 cannot be found). Reinstalling driver doesnt not help. Only solution is to remove realtek lan drivers and let windows install generic ones and your stutter will be gone.

Dude, i can't express my gratitude enough for this information. I have not been able to play the game ever since the update. I just did what you said and the stutter is gone. I was about to go for a windows re installation. But thank you so so much for posting this.
LOL, GG EA & EAC ! XDXDXD
This happens when they dont test their stuff. EAC is actually worst and easiest anticheat to bypass thats why games with this anticheat have insane cheating problem.
Really appreciate this. Will share it on threads related to this issue.
just uninstall the driver and restart the PC then let Windows reinstall one automatically?
When I remove Realtek and restart my PC, Windows automatically reinstalls Realtek, is that it?

Yes make sure to fully remove current driver and use windows update to install it. If windows update dont pick it up go to device manager and press search for devices and it should use generic driver.

Can someone helps me to find the correct driver to unistall? I don't want to create any issues :( Thanks in advance.

Device manager-Network adapters-Realtek(R) PCI(e) Ethernet Controller
I cant permanently remove it. Does disabling work?

I don't think so, but you can try this anyways.

Any chance your colleagues can confirm that this is a temp solution and they're at least checking this "vector"?

I don't have this specific driver. I checked and I found this one: Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller, but if I disable it, my connection doesn't work so for me is impossibile to update the drive or install another one.

You will have that when you install generic windows driver. You can just use wifi on your motherboard. Driver is 5-6mb in size should be fast to download. Just remove your current and in device manager click search for device and it will pop up generic windows driver.

The team is definitely working on similar reports.
