Find & manage your Gemini Spark tasks

You can find tasks you’ve assigned to Gemini Spark on the Tasks page in Gemini Apps. On the Tasks page, you can:

  • Check the progress of all your tasks in a high level view
  • Pin, rename, and delete task threads so the important ones are easy to find
  • Filter task threads to quickly find tasks, especially ones that need your attention

What you need

To use Gemini Spark, you must:

  • Be 18 or over.
  • Sign in to the Gemini app with a personal Google Account. For now, this feature isn’t available if you sign in with a work or school Google Account. Learn how to sign in to Gemini Apps.
  • Have a qualifying Google AI subscription. Learn how to upgrade.
    • In the US, you must have a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription.
    • In other countries, you must have a Google AI Ultra subscription.
  • Have Keep Activity on.

Important: For now, Gemini Spark is:

  • Available wherever Gemini Apps are supported, except in the European Economic Area, Nigeria, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
  • Available in all Gemini Apps languages with a Google AI Ultra subscription, or in English only if you’re in the US with a Google AI Pro subscription.
  • Only available in the Gemini mobile app, the Gemini app on Mac, and the Gemini web app at gemini.google.com.

Find your recent task threads & their progress

In the Gemini web app
  1. On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
  2. On the sidebar, click Switch to Spark  and then Tasks .
  3. Check under “Recent” for your recent task threads.
    • Threads that have unread Gemini responses are in bold.
  4. Check under a thread’s name for the latest progress on tasks.
  5. Click a thread to open it.
    • To review the steps Gemini completed, at the top of the thread, click the current progress chip.
In the Gemini app on Mac
  1. On your Mac, open the Gemini app .
  2. On the sidebar, click Spark and then Tasks .
  3. Check under “Recent” for your recent task threads.
    • Threads that have unread Gemini responses are in bold.
  4. Check under a thread’s name for the latest progress on tasks.
  5. Click a thread to open it.
    • To review the steps Gemini completed, at the top of the thread, click the current progress chip.

Filter or search for your tasks

  • Filter your threads by status: click Recent and then the status.
  • Search your threads: click Search , then start entering keywords.

Pin, unpin, or rename a task thread

  • Pin a thread: hover over a thread and click More and then Pin .
  • Unpin a thread: on the thread, hover over the Pin and click More and then Unpin .
  • Rename a thread: hover over a thread and click More and then Rename .
    • If the thread is pinned, first hover over the Pin .

Delete a task thread

In the Gemini web app
  1. On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
  2. On the sidebar, click Switch to Spark and then Tasks .
  3. Hover over the thread you want to delete.
  4. Click More Delete .
    • If the thread is pinned, first hover over the Pin .
In the Gemini app on Mac
  1. On your Mac, open the Gemini app .
  2. On the sidebar, click Spark and then Tasks .
  3. Hover over the thread you want to delete.
  4. Click More and then Delete .
    • If the thread is pinned, first hover over the Pin .

What happens when a task thread is deleted

Important: To manage Gemini Apps Activity, you need to sign in to Gemini Apps. Learn how to sign in to Gemini Apps.

If you delete a task thread, it also deletes the following:

  • The task.
  • The related activity from your Gemini Apps Activity.
  • Any schedules associated with that task.

It does not delete:

Tip: If task data in Gemini Apps Activity is deleted, then that task’s activity is deleted from the Tasks page and any associated schedules will also be deleted from the Schedules page.
