- Set your AV preferences in the Uber app to boost your chance of getting matched with a Waymo vehicle.
- Open the Uber app.
- Tap on Account.
- Tap on Settings.
- Select Ride Preferences.
- Tap on Autonomous Vehicles, then toggle the Waymo preference on.
- Request a ride. Riders who request an UberX, Uber Green, Uber Comfort, or Uber Comfort Electric for the opportunity to be matched with a Waymo. Remember your ride must be within the Waymo vehicle service area.
- Accept the ride offer and keep an eye on your phone. You’ll get a pop-up if you’ve been matched with a nearby Waymo. Tap Accept ride, then wait for a fully autonomous Waymo car to pick you up.
