Secrets in the Dark
Lana snuggled in Lex's arms, in satin sheets smelling gently of roses and, less gently, of sex. Sex with Lex left her feeling soft, feminine and happy, but he was not a man for small talk afterwards, or for empty endearments.
She snuggled against him in the dark, thinking about Whitney, and Clark, and Adam. Where was this going with Lex? She feared Clark's reaction when he learned the truth. Would he be angry? Would he see this as betrayal?
"Can't you sleep?" asked Lex. His voice purred. By moving, she must have wakened him.
"I wondered what will happen when Clark learns about us."
"Secrets never stay secret. He knows."
She sat up abruptly. "What? How? Did you tell him?"
In the dark, Lex chuckled deeply. "Not I. You can't keep secrets from a man with x-ray vision and super-hearing. Didn't you know?"
