Pattaya, Thailand – The Department of Health, under the Ministry of Public Health, has opened applications for hotels and tourist attractions across the country to participate in the certification program for Green Health Hotel (GHH) and Green Health Attraction (GHA). This is to elevate health and environmental standards, build greater confidence among tourists, and promote safe and sustainable tourism.
In response to this national program, Pattaya City, through the Public Health and Environment Office, specifically the Consumer Health Protection Division and the Sanitation and Environmental Health Division, organized a training session to educate local business operators.

The training provided knowledge and understanding of the assessment criteria and guidelines for GHH and GHA standards. Participants included hotel operators, tourist attraction managers, and operators of health-risk businesses such as saunas and onsen in the Pattaya area.
The session focused on preparing participants to upgrade their establishments in terms of health and environmental standards. It also spoke to collective efforts to monitor and prevent contamination risks in water systems, air quality, food safety, and waste management, in accordance with the official Green Health Hotel (GHH) and Green Health Attraction (GHA) guidelines.

Pattaya City is confident that the continuous promotion of health and environmental standards will enhance the city’s tourism image, strengthen confidence among both Thai and international visitors, and support high-quality tourism while ensuring sustainable urban development.
