Character, Series: Edward wong hau pepelu tivrusky iv, Cowboy Bebop
Age: 13
Canon Background: Born on Earth, this tomboy and master hacker goes by the handle Radical Edward and has amassed one of the most impressive reputations in the virtual world. Living on the Bebop after taking it over via remote control, she is resident tech queen and wild child of the group. Sidekicks are Tomato the computer and a genetically engineered super welsh corgi named Ein.
Her upraising has probably been 90% virtual, and her behavior is accordingly bizarre. She sometimes acts more like a wild animal than a human, and her speech is almost incomprehensible unless she is talking about something electronic.
She spent some of her childhood in an orphanage after being left there by her father, Appledelhi Siniz Hesap Lütfen. There she met a boy named Tomato who was a genius hacker and it is assumed helped her into the world of hacking.
AU Background: Left at an orphanage at an early age by her father, Appledelhi Siniz Hesap Lütfen, she spent most of her childhood being more or less ignored. She managed to sneak a corgi puppy in one night and she and several of her friends spent two days training it to the point where he could successfully hide from the mistress on hand signals and blown noses alone. When her boredom lead her to re-rout the steam heat system and turn her dorm into a tropical resort it was finally decided that something had to be done about that Ed girl, she was just to smart to be sitting around in here.
So she was sent to Surlow Academy.
She flat out refuses to wear shoes, if forced she stumbles around as though her feet are made of lead. Of course, this is the closest thing to a normal walk anybody will see her do.
(Are pets allowed? If so, I'd like to have a very well trained dog named Ein. If not, I guess I'll just have to go visit him somewhere)
Give five words to describe your character: Immature, unfocused, brilliant, scientific, mechanic, hyperactive
Occupation: Student
Any Specialties? Mechanical genius
Sample, First-person journal entry: Ed knows how to make a better solo racer. Ed figured it out while she was eating lunch today. Prunes are yummy. Ed likes to squish them between her fingers and make things out of the sticky stuff they turn into. Like little horse poop snowmen. Ed went to a horse race yesterday. An old man told Ed about the way the horses work. When they run their legs push the air out of their lungs when they go back and pull it into them when they go forward, so the horse doesn't use up energy breathing. They have shoes, too. Ed doesn't like shoes. Ed likes toes, though, wiggle wiggle.......
Sample, Third-Person RP:
Ed holds her spindly arms out to the sides and balances on one bare foot, her toes spread around the crux of the roof.
She turns to look back at Ein, who is standing on the ledge looking uncertain.
Ed snaps her fingers and the dog takes a deep breath, swallows hard, and steps out onto the narrow rooftop.
Ed turns to start walking, overbalances, and wobbles. Ein barks sharply.
“Sssh.” Ed puts one finger over her mouth even as she is falling, then catches herself and balances on one hand, her feet dangling over her head.
She cartwheels slowly across the rest of the roof, watching the world spin in a circle around her. Ein rolls around her head over and over, walking along with his nose down and his tongue hanging out.
She gets to the adjoining tower and grabs a stone ledge. She pulls herself up, then realizes that Ein can't follow her.
Ed carefully climbs back down and looks up at the window above them. She scrabbles up and puts a knee on the windowsill, then leans up and leans sideways, her nose almost to the glass, her yellow eyes almost crossed as she tries to see the latch in the dimness. It's undone.
And if memory serves, this room is empty.
Ed drops back down to the roof and grabs Ein, then lifts him up with a grunt. There is a terrifying moment where she almost loses her balance. Ein tries to bail out, putting his short little back legs on her shoulders and attempting to jump at the same time Ed gathers herself and throws him. He flies up the few feet and crashes into the window, knocking it open and landing with a thump.
Ed jumps up and grabs the windowsill, then topples over inside.
She bounces to her feet, and then finds that no...memory didn't serve. The room isn't empty. It has four occupants, and she is standing on top of one of them.
