I'm going to start living life differently.

I love you, whoever you are, friend, stranger, family. Life is so short and so precious. We take the people we encounter in our lives daily for granted. I'm going to try my best to live my life in a positive light from now on. Road rage, I'm cutting it. Waiting in lines, I can deal with it. I'm going to slow down and take my time and think about how I can better someone's day and my own instead of getting angered at the smallest things all the time. Tomorrow I am going to stop by my parent's house and just surprise them with hugs and tell them how much I love them and appreciate them.

I visited mydeathspace.com tonight..I went to that site once a long time ago and it was just creepy and eerie and very sad. To look at all of those kids around my age and younger that are dead, they had lives and important people in them. They aren't here anymore..no more laughing, crying, watching movies, going out with friends. It hits close to home and reminds you that much more that we are not invincible and death can come at anytime. I also saw this quote on a boy's myspace that was on the site, "you are immune from death until god's purpose for your life has been fulfilled" which comforted me some. I don't know who it's by but I think I'll carry it with me in the back of my mind. I clicked on this one girl's profile after reading her story on the website, she had an eisley song playing and I added it to my page. I believe this is my awakening. I am no longer going to sweat the small things and take people in my life for granted. I am going to change my life and my world for the better. That person you cut off on the road, or don't let in, the old person in front of you that you get frustrated at for walking to slow..these are all people who might not be here tomorrow and to think that you could make their day with a smile or a common gesture of courtesy is enlightening to the soul.

A Gilroy woman who survived hitting a guardrail on Highway 101 early today was killed minutes later when she stepped out of her car and was struck by an approaching truck.

Sade Tina Marie Moralez, 21, lost control of her 1995 Volkswagen Golf as she was driving northbound onto 101 from Leavesley Road around 12:04 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Moralez' car careened across three lanes of the freeway before coming to a stop in the fast lane, CHP Officer Brad Voyles said.

Moralez got out of the car and was standing beside it in the fast lane two minutes later when she and her car were struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Joel Bush, 36, of Santee, Voyles said.

A passenger in Moralez' car, 23-year-old Joshua Cousins of Hollister, suffered a cut to the head as well as neck and back pains and was flown to Regional Medical Center in San Jose, where he was treated for minor to moderate injuries, Voyles said.

Voyles said it was clear that Bush had seen Moralez' car and tried to stop, leaving a long trail of skid marks. Investigators were still determining how fast he had been driving and other details of the crash.
