● Tips to Better Use The Mini PC

1. It supports auto power on after power failure.

2. Regularly delete the software distribution folder in the windows directory to keep updating size use down. This folder is used for windows updating.

3. Uninstall any program that isn't needed or used. Once done, there is enough space to update windows.

4. Make sure that the new disk you added has had the partition added, otherwise, Windows will not recognize the disk.

5. Power on and keep pressing the "Delete" key to enter BIOS.

The barebone mini computer support Windows 7/8/10, also support other popular open source systems, such as CentOS, OPNsense, VyOS, Linux iptables, OPENVPN, etc. If you need you can install by yourself.

But it does not support sophos, Vmware-esxi, Untangle,xcp-ng.

The firewall pc uses 2.5GbE LAN,Realtek RTL8XXX NIC Max Network Transfer Speed 900Mbps; Intel i211/i210 NIC Max Network Transfer Speed 100Mbps; Intel i225 NIC Max Network Transfer Speed 2500Mbps.

Designed with 4×Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports, one line can be connected to be multiple outputs line shunt.

It is also an ideal choice for various scenarios, such as firewalls, network security products, LAN or WAN routers, VPN devices, DHCP servers, DNS servers, and IDS/IPS.

A1: 1. Check whether the memory is connected properly and re-plug it; 2. Use other memory in good condition to test.

Q2: What should I do when there is no display via HDMI/VGA port of this firewall appliance?

A2: 1. Confirm that the monitor and cables are in good condition; 2. Discharge the BIOS and check again. Steps: Open the back cover, take off the button battery on the motherboard, wait a few minutes, and put it back; 3. Use good RAM to test.

Q3: What should I do when I cannot enter the BIOS interface of this firewall pc?

A3: 1. Press and hold the "reset" key on the side of the device to reset and check again; 2. Discharge the BIOS and check again. Steps: Open the back cover, take off the button battery on the motherboard, wait a few minutes, and put it back.

Q4: What should I do when I install something such as pfsense but I get the following error: " can’t find '/boot/entropy' " and " can’t find '/boot/hostid' "?

A4: Please set the BIOS as follows when you install something such as pfsense: Advanced > CSM Configuration > Boot option filter > UEFI only.

      Annoyingly this only uses 1 core when using open sense and won't load for love more money with pf sense. Rendering it pretty useless. It's a shame. I have 2gb internet now and it worked fine with single core for 1gb. As soon as I game it 2gb my through put was like 100mbps. Useless.

      Running OPNsense on mine, added ram and an msata drive. Once configured runs well very effciant and those that know this config is way more powerful and secure than an off the shelf router. 2.5G ports work at rated speed. All in all good product.
