What people are saying.

  • A bouncing pet for an agent waiting on a permission prompt is a fun idea. The status above it gives the animation a practical reason to be there.

    Oleksii Sekundant on Product Hunt
  • Definitely a great way to work with agents, The issue I face is, I usually start 2-3 different agents and forget whether they are asking a permission or is the task done, these pets definitely gonna help me in that

    Jay Patil on Product Hunt
  • This is fun. Hermes would be my pick for the next agent, since it runs most of my work alongside Claude Code. With Hermes added, every agent I run could be a pet walking along the bottom of my browser.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is Agent Pets?

Agent Pets is a Chrome extension with a small helper that runs on your computer. It turns each Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and omp session into an animated pet that walks along the bottom of every page. A capsule above each pet shows what the agent is doing, and when an agent needs permission or a reply, you answer from whatever tab you’re on. It’s a one-time purchase with lifetime updates.

How do I get notified when Claude Code needs my approval?

Out of the box, Claude Code sends a desktop notification only in Ghostty, Kitty and iTerm2; elsewhere you can turn on the terminal bell or write a Notification hook. Agent Pets uses Claude Code’s hooks so the session’s pet starts bouncing on every Chrome page and a desktop notification appears with Allow and Deny on it. You approve without going back to the terminal.

Every option, with the exact settings: How to get Claude Code notifications.

Can I see which of several agent sessions needs me?

Yes. Every live session gets its own named pet labelled with its project and agent, a capsule over it says Thinking, Your Turn, Allow Bash? or Done, and the toolbar badge counts the sessions waiting on you.

Why isn’t it on the Chrome Web Store?

By design, Agent Pets is installed directly. npx getagentpets init puts the extension in ~/.agentpets/extension, and you load it once through Chrome’s Developer mode (Load unpacked). You do that once: on macOS updates install automatically after that, and on Linux and Windows you update with npx getagentpets update.

Which agents, operating systems and browsers does it support?

Agents: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and omp. Browsers: Chrome and other Chromium browsers such as Arc, Brave and Edge.

On macOS the helper starts automatically at login. On Linux and Windows it works too, but there’s no auto-start yet: run npx getagentpets start and keep it running. Node.js 18 or later is required.

Is my code sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs on your computer: a small helper on 127.0.0.1 talks to your agents and to the extension. There are no accounts and no cloud, and your code and prompts never leave your machine.

The only network calls are the license check with Dodo Payments and update checks with npm. See the privacy policy.

How do updates work?

On macOS, automatically: Agent Pets checks npm for new versions and installs them for you, and the extension picks them up on its own. On Linux and Windows, run npx getagentpets update.

Every future update is included in your one-time purchase.

How many browsers can I use with one license?

Up to 3. Activate the same license key in Chrome on your laptop, Arc on your desktop, and one more.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Ask within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked: email aryan@xlaunch.pro or contact Dodo Payments, who processed your order. See the refund policy.

Can I get my money back by posting about it?

Yes. Post about Agent Pets on Reddit or X with a link to getagentpets.com. When one post reaches 2,000 views within 7 days of your purchase, email aryan@xlaunch.pro and we refund 100% of what you paid. You keep the license. Here’s how.

Does it slow my agent down?

No. The hooks never block your agent. A permission request waits for an answer from a pet only while that pet is on screen, and the prompt in your terminal keeps working as usual, so you can answer in either place. Codex shows its own prompt only after the pet’s turn, so for Codex the pet waits at most 15 seconds.
