Remnant 2 allows you to collect a maximum of 60 Trait Points. After you reach 60, Tomes of Knowledge and bosses will no longer award additional points. However, it's important to keep in mind that these 60 points are in addition to your Archetype Trait and Core Trait Points. The easiest way to tell which points you've used Trait Points on is to look at the color of the dots on each Trait card. If a dot is orange, it doesn't count against the total. Only white Trait Points count against your maximum.

Core Traits

When you select an Archetype, it comes with five free Trait Points that are distributed between the four Core Traits: Endurance, Spirit, Vigor, and Expertise. Every Archetype has its own spread of points allocated to these Core Traits. Only your primary Archetype awards Core Trait Points. Your secondary Archetype does not.

Archetype Traits

As you level up an Archetype, Traits Points are automatically applied to the relevant Archetype Trait. These do not count against your total number of Trait Points.

When you level an Archetype to Level 10, its Trait becomes available even when you don't have the Archetype selected. However, you must then spend Trait Points to level it up. If you re-equip that Archetype, the points are refunded.

How to Respec Trait Points

Buying Orb of Undoing.png

If you need to adjust the way you allocated Trait Points, purchase an item from Wallace called the Orb of Undoing. You can use it to respec your Trait Points. To purchase it from Wallace, you need three Lumenite Crystals and 2,500 Scrap.
