"18.5. 2026 "Ludwig" by Luchino Visconti is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and impressive biopics ever made. It is astonishingly detailed in terms of set design and costumes, but it is not at all superficial, but an exceptionally profound portrait of the controversial monarch. "FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: ★★★★★ NOTES: Tremendous Cinecittà print, including title cards before each part and an 18-minute interval; a rare occasion in which this film was screened on film to UK audiences in its uncut form. Tuotannon osalta elokuva on kaiketi melko pätevää tavaraa, mutta se ei kiinnostanut minkään vertaa. Neljä tuntia pelkkää tappotylsää on aika kova koettelemus."
