Looks like I never really did delete this.

Anyone a) still have me friended, b) looking randomly, c) haven't spoken to me in a while and want to get back in touch? I'm here.

Wed, Aug. 10th, 2005, 02:08 am

I've undeleted this for a few days, to let you all know that I've got another pseudo-public journal over at __justlikeyou. Add me if you want. It will most likely be friends-only, so don't expect to see much if you don't. =)

[Comment here if you plan on adding and I haven't spoken with you in a while, please, and remind me who you are. Unless I know who you are, I'm probably not going to add you back.]

Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20th, 2005 is "Not One Damn Dime Day" in America. On "Not One Damn Dime Day" those who oppose what is happening in our name in Iraq can speak up with a 24-hour national boycott of all forms of consumer spending.

During "Not One Damn Dime Day" please don't spend money.

Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn dime for necessities or for impulse purchases. Not one damn dime for religious donations. Not one damn dime for anything for 24 hours.
The object is simple. Remind the people in power that the war in Iraq is immoral and illegal; that they are responsible for starting it and that it is their responsibility to stop it. "Not One Damn Dime Day" is to remind them, too, that they work for the people of the United States of America, not for the international corporations and K Street lobbyists who represent the corporations and funnel cash into American politics.
"Not One Damn Dime Day" is about supporting the troops. The politicians put the troops in harm's way. Now 1,200 brave young Americans and (some estimate)100,000 Iraqis have died. The politicians owe our troops a plan, a way to come home.

There's no rally to attend. No marching to do. No left or right wing agenda to rant about. On "Not One Damn Dime Day" you take action by doing nothing. You open your mouth by keeping your wallet closed. For 24 hours, nothing gets spent, not one damn dime, to remind our religious leaders and our politicians of their moral responsibility to end the war in Iraq and give America back to the people

Please spread the word.

Happy new year. Now go away.

Mm. Sorry, I've been ignoring this journal for a few days. Oh well.
Dad's GF is coming over later tonight to watch The Sound of Music with us.

And because I don't believe I've told the people here: HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND NEW YEAR.
I got for Christmas, more or less, below the cut.

That's mostly it. Plus, I get to read through Eldon's manuscript for errors [typos, misspellings, grammar] before the 4th. I'm ready to start chapter 6, I need to read a LOT. 39 more chapters to go. erm. [I really should be reading.] I have a little red pen and everything. So y'all know, it's shaping up to be really good. It's going to be released in hardcover in May 2005. You can pre-order it on Amazon; search for Eldon Thompson. The only book that comes up is the one. XD;;; It's a fantasy, first of his trilogy. He's my uncle-sort person. Well, he's been with my aunt Crissy for, like, ever. So, he's basically my uncle.
