Got a new job lined up, the old one doesn't know it yet.
It's not final, but it's damn close. I'm contemplating giving my two weeks notice a little early... but I know that's not a safe move. Plus I really just want to get a start date from Tom and be like OLOL I GOT NEW JORB KBAI2U and walk out. I've already cleared out my locker(s), my work area of all of my personal belongings, and the shit I want to take w/ me that isn't accountable for in the asset database :X
It's just a matter of time!
I'm excited.
Looks like I'll be working at TK after all - after 3 years of 'loyal service' to the city of engines.

Dear Judge Herman,
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your flawless decision-making abilities. I think that on the 6th of August, you showed great compassion to someone who, despite popular belief, deserved what could be his 7th chance! You didn't let things like "physical and verbal abuse," "strangulation," or "assault" in general cloud your judgement, allowing you to remain objective!
You're quite unconventional; 'Marching to the beat of your own drum.' Not many people would have agreed with your decision but you don't care about pleasing the masses. You showed us all that you don't let minor details prevent you from seeing the bigger picture.
I hope that when YOUR daughter gets beaten by HER abusive boyfriend you can show the same integrity and perceptiveness and give that scumbag the lightest penalty you can think of!
With Love,
Cailin Przybylski, Defeated.
xoxo
Dear Mom,
WTF - WHY ARE YOU HELPING HIM MAKE MONEY?! WHY IS YOUR SOCIAL BUTTERFLY STATUS HIGHER UP THAN YOUR DAUGHTER?! WHY DON'T YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW FUCKED UP IT IS TO GIVE HIM LEADS FOR 'ODD JOBS' SIMPLY BECAUSE HE ASKED?! AND PLEASE FUCKING TELL ME HOW IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU CAN "FEEL SORRY" FOR HIM?!
Dinner's still on for Sunday, I hope!
Sincerely Yours,
Cailin Przybylski, Betrayed.
wtf. jr.

Dear Livejournal,
I'm finally free! Aren't you proud?
Sincerely,
C-Wrex
P.S. I've been doing pretty good at behaving myself, for the most part, but I don't think I can keep it up for much longer - I hope this doesn't change your opinion of me.

Current Mood:
devious
So the IHNTD@W Extravaganza has somehow evolved into "HOW MANY MANAGERS CAN I PISS OFF IN ONE DAY-...Fest."
I am beginning to realize just how much I actually don't like working here. Not so much the job itself - that part is fine - it's the people in charge. Things that in the past did not affect me now do (i.e. ridiculous emails from managers, policies, etc.) simply because my role here at the school has changed. I answer to individuals now who should not even be in management. This is how it is, I suppose. I'm just pissed off that I was so protected from it when I was simply an Instructor. I wouldn'd mind it so much if it was valid and legitimate, but it's just petty. It's a contest - nay a fight to the death - to see who has the biggest shoulderpads, the most pinstripes, the argyle-est sweater vest. Laughable. Which is why I'm rocking the boat. I know I shouldn't, but man, it's so easy.
Sidenote: "It's so easy" should be my new motto. I find myself doing a lot of things now simply because 'it's so easy.'
For instance, do you have ANY idea how easy it is to get 18 year old boys to dote all over you and follow you around? Oh, it's easy. Unfortunately. Actually I can't even comprehend how easy it is due to the simple fact that often times it just happens without me being conscious of it.
Anyway, I digress. (\m/)
Certain individuals are so quick to send a nasty email and copy everyone under the sun just for the sake of doing it...but when you have a rebuttal or even just a valid suggestion in lieu of following their ridiculous request it's deemed 'inappropriate' and one has 'no right' to address a manager like that. I think tomorrow I am going to wear brown to work to symbolize my Peasantry here.
The Change of Ownership has really changed this place, and not for the better, I must admit. They won't even help me go back to school although up until I inquired it was "oh yeah we can help out with tuition if you want to further your education to make you better at your job."
DENIED.
Le sigh. Truthfully, though, I am thoroughly enjoying getting my ass chewed out today. It's like the Olympic Games of the beaurocratic office world and baby I'mma get the gold.
So far:
Mrs. OhSoImportant Financial Aid Officer - I pretty much called her out on [blatantly] not paying attention to me when I was courteously showing her how to scan documents from her printer - interesting dialogue results.
Mrs. FromTheBlock! ExecutiveAssistantToThePresident (SERIOUSLY?! EXEC Asst to the PRESIDENT?!, yes my friends, seriously) - She sent a nasty 'verbal warning' (yes, I know, it's not verbal if it's an email, but she sure thinks it is) to myself and four other individuals pretty much telling us we can't talk and "giggle" in the lobby. Okay, yes, I realize we shouldn't be holding routine dance-offs and swinging from the banners and having pillow fights in the lobby, but .... wait. we don't. An occasional chat here and there, during a break or something, she's gotta be kidding. So of course, I was the only one ballsy enough to reply and considering that she copied every other manager in the building (note: there are a lot of "managers" these days) I kept all of the original recipients in my reply. And, for the record, I was actually very tactful about it, but apparently she can't handle rebuttal. Was I wrong, probably, but last I checked there is no email policy in place stating that we cannot copy other individuals. ..Which is what I got chewed out for. Irony much?
Mr. IWishICouldStillKillPeopleLikeIDidInTheMarines Director of Education - I wrote a message to a fellow co-worker of mine on Friday before leaving last week in an office might I add that is to remain locked at all times, and ALSO that nobody is supposed to enter if said co-worker is not present. Apparently, though, we don't like following those kinds of rules, so of course someone went in there on Saturday, read her board, and flipped a shit. Actually that means I pissed off more people than originally accounted for. Whatever, those dont' really count for today. Let me take a moment to add that after reading the 'IMPORTANT BULLETIN' kekeke which involved the words 'crunk' 'bang bang' and somehow 'antidisestablishmentarianism' they threw a fit, got everyone else around them to go in and look at it, and the whole time nobody thought to erase it. But obviously it's a bigger deal than I originally thought. FALSE! So they left it up there for this morning at which time Mr. .....Director of Education went in, read it, let some smoke out of his ears and stormed back to his desk. I don't even understand anymore. Suffice it to say, and to make a longer story short, I spent a good 20 minutes in his office getting the business. I didn't just sit there with my ass wide open, though, no - I brought up some great hits such as: "Her office is locked and nobody's supposed to be in there when she's not" and "There's nothing horribly inappropriate about it" and don't forget "Everyone makes jokes here, but only certain individuals seem to get heat for it" and my personal favorite "Bringing liquor into the school and drinking during business hours is inappropriate, but that doesn't stop our School Director and the rest of his management team" (Yeah, I went there)
Nobody actually knew it was me until I said something, but I didn't want J-Brizzle (co-worker) to get in trouble for my antics. So as a result, they removed her white board and told her she can't have one. Cue: rofl
I'm thinking our handy dandy Rodney Dangerfield meets Adrian Monk (ugly crossed with a serious case of OCD) admissions rep is next. Not because he's important, cause frankly he's not, but I think it would be thoroughly enjoyable to watch him get angry. He stutters and spits, from what I hear.
Memo to Self: Borrow a protective face shield from the Advanced Shop.
Memo to Self2: Yeah, I'm definitely going to get fired. HA

Dear Paul,
Thanks for sending a Verizon tech to install another T1 line without informing me first! Who told you I loved Verizon so much? Or being completely dumbfounded, for that matter. The surprise went off without a hitch! I appreciate the balloons and confetti thrown in my face, not to mention it was a nice touch. Next time, however, instead of not informing me of intrusive work to be done in the building, creating mild chaos, you can simply send cupcakes and a Chippendale's Dancer, or perhaps an email, or both. Everyone loves baked goods.
Love and fisticuffs,
C-Murder
Dear Faithful Accomplice whom I have Hoodwinked,
Even though you do not realize it yet, I am the King. Once you are able to come to terms with that, we can continue to partake in office shenanigans together. Until then, however, this is war. I only regret that I have to be so cruel to such a close ally, but this is how it is. I didn't write it, I just moderate.
Waiting for your white flag,
C-Rex
