Fasting Challenge

So HDog has thrown down the physical challenge match and said he is going on a water fast diet for 10 days. Day 1 started at Noon yesterday! Let's see how long he can go. Will he pull the sick card to suspend the challenge? Let's wait and see.
Previously, he was able to complete Atkins diet plan which was nullified by uncontrolled daily diet. He has recently improved his dieting by controlling junk foods. Let's see the cleansing effects and delerium to follow...
I pose these questions to him for the audience Q&A:
GYRUSS: "What has your dieting & exercise been like in the past 6 months?"
GYRUSS: "Why are you trying the water fasting diet?"
HDOG: Reply awaiting...

Something Electric is Happening

While reading this article, I looked down at the hairs on my legs and could feel the ones on my arms and head standing on end.
"CG CON: You've also mentioned your girlfriend is an amazing artist on her own, how does she complete your work?
ANDREW JONES: I met Phaedra in the middle of a barren pre-historic dry lake bed desert in Nevada. She just appeared out of a dust storm. With a few charismatic words she took the bait and I air brushed her face in the first 20 minutes of us meeting. We both come from completely different backgrounds and lifestyles, she was born and raised in different European countries then spent half her life in India, I was born in Colorado and spent most of my time everywhere else except India. But from the moment we met we knew there was something intangible between us, we knew that somehow by being together we could bring more beauty to the universe than we could being apart. Her art is about movement, my art is the ability to capture and translate movements into a 2D stillness.
On one level, our art forms completely contrast each other -- I spend 12 hours on average at one and the same point of the studio by a computer or with the Wacom, while she dances around the rehearsal space next to my desk only ever being still when she meditates. That's merely surface appearance though. As we spent more time together we both realized that what motivated us both at the core of our work was service to the same spirit."

The Beat Goes On...
Mar. 28th, 2009 | 12:22 am
Maximum Black, Bohren & Der Club of Gore eminates from KJFC, Los Altos Hills. My old college station. Natasha is spinning tonight. I was on my way to Mark Ciglar's house reminiscing good times with old Bay Area crew friends. The Red Restaurant had an exquisite Johnny Cash burger chalking up my western burger journey. Medium. Stoli Vodka Sour. A shot of Jameson's to ease down the the cigarette with Marin. The drive back with Tracy is filled with Sagan and Christian's Satanism. Somewhat surprisingly Mark Ciglar wasn't home this Friday night. Probably at a local party with Dino and rest of the old Aleister's Rosary. My window is down. I make a kitty friend by Ponderosa Park as I make a call to Mr. Sheldon Chang. Santa Clara is perfect tonight.

RETURN OF THE GYRUSS
After all the lay off hub bub, and facebook moonlighting, I have returned to lj. Not that I ever really left but it's a new day after filing for unemployment and the past two days of forever organizing Electrosnow Studios/abode. Why so much home re-org you say...
YOUTUBE GARAGING IDEA
I have 8 bins of clothes which I've organized for sale or disposal now. I can't believe I still have some old ass clothes from the Bay Area. I was thinking of doing Youtube show basically web garaging with flare some of the clothes and shit I have. I think the main sellers will be the over a decade of band, film, and comicbook T-Shirts I've acquired. Basically I think I'll get a way better price with a Vintage T-Shirt Show than selling them at Crossroads or Atlas.
YAY STUFF! BOO I'M BROKE. NOW LET'S GAME!
I bought a new 500gb hd which I am about to download Blender to, various art supplies which have treated me right on the pen and ink work for class, and my own copy of the board game Mission Red Planet. Call me if you want to play! Or meet me on Xbox Live as Electrosnow.
HOT BOTAY
I'm thoroughly off cigarettes since I started the year of with The Cough. Yikes. I HAVE KICKED CAFFEINE'S LITTLE ASS! Which is good now that I won't have it on demand from the crack pipes from my old job. I can now wake up and not need that shit. I've been cutting my own hair old school with a pair of clippers, comb, and scissors. When money comes back, I want to take up some Gracie Jiu Jitsu to add to my martial arts repertoire and really learn the language of ground fighting. I watched an hour class and saw those guys work non-stop! I thought it seemed short but man, it's like an intense hour. Hdog showed some interest. How bout you?

Le Faire
Jan. 2nd, 2009 | 12:47 am
January 1, 2009, 9:11 in the PM
Black mountain jasmine tea steams across the reversed window letters of the Faire gallery & cafe. With my hat tilted down, I sit splayed and meditatively relaxed staring into the distance past the North 5 sign to Vancouver BC at the Queen Anne radio towers and landscape of lights. Downtempo Hip Hop emanates from the bar where baristas and friends knit and plan their pho dinner. Tonight's gallery is a Light Box Project entitled, Recollect by Brent Osborne. I contemplate the traditional versus digital mixture of his pieces. Having awoken into the night of the new year's day, I decided to traverse my city of Seattle "Something deeper. Something awakening inside." I repeated as a lyrical chant with a Metal Industrial Post-Rock guitar. Vocals which are reminiscent of my favorite FLA or Ministry.
White Velvet soy mocha at the new Vivace by my hood in Capital Hill was the standard over the Hellboy article in Cinefex. Two girls ahead was a fulfillment of my beautiful nose fetish while I ordered. Catching the 8 became an exploit to expedite an emanant devouring at A Pizza Mart on 9th and Stewart. The Faire would be my salvation from the stirring movements inside of me. It was interesting to find some local regulars at the Faire and talk about motorcycles. Tonight I am amazingly lost in my city.
Additional:
Text Exchange at the Faire
FROM Christian Jones: "This is a Happy New Year going out to all my niggas and fools! Guess we all made it through - or did we? If you didn't then text me and let me know how it go ' Seriously though you know I'm faded and so... Happy New Year! Peace"
FROM Me: "We are already in heaven and hell. Choose your own Adventure. Tis a happy new year my friend."
FROM Christian Jones: "I like that."

Emerald City Comic Con, Seattle, WA, April 4th & 5th, 2009
San Diego Comic Con, San Diego, WA July 23-26, 2009
Penny Arcade, Portland, OR, September 4-6, 2009
Any recommendations on other game or comic cons out there worth checking out? I don't want to spend too much on trips but if it's worth going I'd make the effort.

Wow. What a scene in Capital Hill, Seattle and for that matter the US last night. I had woken from my nap and had heard all the commotion outside while watching CNN. Buses and cars were stopped in the streets because thousands of people had flooded Broadway & John to Broadway & Pine. People were actually singing the national anthem from their balcony next to my building. Horns honking, flag and Obama poster waving, lots of good vibes, smiles, and shouts of joy were about last night. Even random hugs and high fives were in play. I hadn't experienced an election quite like this. I closed the night at the Cha Cha where the same vibe was. Truly amazing.
