I'm leaving for California the day after tomorrow!!!

Mijn "kleine" zusje zet zich in voor een goed doel, hier eventjes een mailtje over wat ze gaat doen de komende dagen;

De meesten weten het al, sommigen nog niet.. Het Boeskool Hoes! Ik ga vanaf morgen 4 dagen lang, zonder eten en met 2 mede-dj's van Accent FM (toch gek om mezelf dj te noemen, ik moet het nog maar bewijzen!) tijdens het jaarlijkse Oldenzaalse feest Boeskool is Los, radio maken voor het goede doel! Of eigenlijk 6 lokale goede doelen in Oldenzaal en Losser (meer info over de doelen en de actie op www.boeskoolhoes.nl. 4 dagen lang 2 keer per dag 4 uur draaien zonder eten.. Fikse uitdaging dacht ik zo! Dit doen wij (van Accent FM en RTV Losser-Oldenzaal in navolging van 3 FM die afgelopen jaar voor de derde keer Serious Request hebben gedaan vanuit een Glazen Huis in Utrecht.

Ook wij gaan in een huis waar we niet uit mogen 4 dagen. Het huis(je) heeft een glazen wand dus je kunt precies zien wat we doen! (behalve als we douchen en slapen, sorry). Het huis staat in Oldenzaal naast het gemeentehuis (tussen het oude en het nieuwe gemeentehuis):gewoon tussen het gemeentehuis en de Plechelmus doorlopen en het kan niet missen! Dit alles doen we natuurlijk niet voor niks.. De bedoeling is zoveel mogelijk geld ophalen voor de goede doelen en je kunt dus plaatjes gaan aanvragen! Dat kan nu al via de site www.boeskoolhoes.nl en vanaf morgenochtend 7 uur ook via 0541 531 333. Natuurlijk kun je ook langskomen met je centen, want we hebben een brievenbus! Andere ideeen zijn ook welkom, als je goed kan neusfluiten, het alfabet boeren of een ander "talent" hebt: je bent welkom!

Morgen om 7 uur (ja 's ochtends) begint de uitzending, om 7:15 uur zitten we LIVE met Giel in de uitzending (dus OOK op 3FM op dat moment, voor de mensen die Accent FM niet kunnen ontvangen) waar hij het officiele startschot geeft.. Maar dan zitten wij nog in het donker, om 14:15 uur wordt namelijk het huis ECHT "onthuld" voor het publiek met een spectaculaire opening!

Ik zit er de ganze dag natuurlijk, maar ik draai elke dag van 10:00 uur tot 14:00uur en van 22:00uur en 02:00 uur. Accent FM is in Oldenzaal en Losser (en omstreken, maar niet erg ver daarbuiten) op 106.2 en 107.4 FM te beluisteren of anders via de streams op www.accentfm.nl. Oh ja en alles is ook nog eens LIVE 24 uur per dag te volgen op TV Losser en TV Oldenzaal, wauw!

Ik heb er echt enorm veel zin in, zie niet op tegen het niet eten maar wel een beetje tegen 4 uur lang vol kletsen.. Dus ook om mij een beetje te steunen: vraag allemaal een plaat aan en wie weet bel ik jou wel!

PS: voor de Second Life-ers: we zijn ook daar te vinden met het Boeskool Hoes, ook daar kun je het huis bekijken en plaatjes aanvragen e.d. en er loopt dus een SL versie van mij rond!

Ik ben super trots dat ze dat gaat doen en aangezien ik vanaf donderdag ook in Nederland ben, ga ik haar zeker af en toe een hart onder de riem steken! (en platen aanvragen ofcourse ;) )

It's weird... First of all I totally need to get used again to the AZERTY keyboard.

Then the people here don't talk English, but Flemish.

The highways aren't that busy and the cars are TINY!!!

I miss Kroger.

I still have money on my bankaccount!! :D

I also still have the key to Rob 'n Erin's place on my keychain....OOPS!!Will mail it ASAP. :)

While checking the bills and what I've spent there I realised I forgot to pay for the rentalcar to Savannah. Rob, email me the amount and your bankaccount nr thingy and I'll give it to you ASAP.

My ears feel as if I have been spending the night in a very loud bar.

I'm dizzy and I start to see things that aren't there.

I found CHEAP shortbread in the store around the corner!!!

It's good to see the friends overhere...But I miss the ones overthere...

I think I'm going to pass out now.

I'm kinda bummed that the last 2 weeks went by SO REALLY quick!
But I've met at least one person I've been dying to meet for 2 years now, and things worked out GREAT on that end. ;)

Tonight will be my "last" dinner with some friends at Bambinelli's.
If you want to come, come on over!! We'll be there around 8PM. But if you get there later, that's ok too! :D I'd just like to meet the people I like (and even the ones that I DON'T like..) once more before I leave..

So I hope to see everyone that reads this tonight at Bambinelli's!

Already wrote Bambi that we're coming to her restaurant and I hope she's there tonight.

Can't wait to have some of their DELICIOUS chocolate cake again!

..I slept like 11.30AM!!! I did woke up around 8-ish, which seems to be the normal time for me to wake up here. Checked emails and then I was so sleepy that I went to bed again. :)

Erin and I are just hanging out and watching TLC. Yes, allll the cheesy MakeOver and Wedding/Proposal shows! Hehe.

walkinlikecain is picking me up later on to hang out, go to his class and eat at Sangria's. Mmmmm! They have the best Mexican food here to my knowledge.

It's my dad's birthday today. I sent him an email and just gave him a quick call. It was good to hear him :)

Now I need to get ready. I think a nice long shower will do me goooood!

Today was..Woah! I think I got more buzzed today than I was at the wedding last weekend! Hahaha.

We started with martini's, then wine, then more wine, then bubble champagne kinda wine and that was it I guess? So in total 3 bottles of wine and martini's.

Amy and I went "shopping" after that and we just giggled our way through the WAY overprized shoes and clothes at Phipps Plaza. Then got some coffee and I got dropped off home.

Fell down on the couch and I think I dozed off a little.
Watched tv, ate pizza and now it's midnight already!!

Going to send out some Evites for my "Goodbye and see you in a year or so" dinner thingy, this time y'all should come cause it will be at NIGHT and not during working hours... ;)

Savannah was short but eventfull. Met some interesting people too!

Was hoping to relax in LaGrange tonight and tomorrow, but unfortunatly that plan changed.

Now it's just going to the mall, getting my (and Rob's) hair done, shoe shopping for Erin and then I think we're off!

Been relaxing around the house the last 2 days. We're going shopping later on and tomorrow head off to Savannah for the weekend and go to Christy's wedding!!

Talked to z just now and hopefully we get to meet up before I leave. It was good talking to him for a bit, it's been too long. :)

OMG, it's going to be so HOT in Savannah this weekend, check this weather forecast out... They better have the AC on overthere!

Monday will probably be MartiniDay. I'm going to drag Dave along eventhough he'll probably have beer, but that's ok ;)

I'm getting slightly nervous.. Thinking about what I need to take with me, what I should wear at the wedding, where I should sleep, what to do in those 2 weeks, etc. etc.
It's a Capricorn thing, we like things to go smooth and to be planned well before it's actually going to happen.. So blame it on that! ;)

Yesterday I was riding my bike when I had to wait for a trafficlight..I mean, it was RED, so I had to stop. An old guy on skeelers went passed me, through the red light. So I said out loud; "Hmm, I thought it was RED." He just shook his head and waved with his hand as if to say; "yeah right, whatever.." I HATE it when old folks do that.
They always whine about young people, but 9 out of 10 times I see people jaywalking, or whatever it's called, it's OLD people!
So I bike on and the next trafficlight comes up, also RED. So I stop.. There's a policeman standing on the road I need to cross. But the light is RED and he's not controlling traffic. So I STOP. There's an old lady walking towards the road from the other side and yes... SHE WALKS ON. Right behind the cop's back THROUGH a red light. So I couldn't help myself and said;" Well geesh, lady, you sure have guts to do that!" She smiles and shrugs and walks on. The cop turns around when he heard me say that and.. DOES NOTHING. He SEES everything but just turns around again and keeps on staring where ever the F he was staring at! God, I hate that.
The guy on skeelers caught up and NOW he waited. Because there was a cop. I mumbled something and thank God the light went green by that time.
But DAMN, that's my biggest pet peeve I think..

Anyhoooo... I got to the mobilephone store and asked for a Samsung E720. 2 or 3 weeks ago I was at the same store and the lady told me it was a new phone and costed like 329€. Everywhere else I looked it was a LOT more expensive. So here I was, asking for that phone. The guy goes; "Pff, we don't have that one anymore, it's now the E730." That phone was not what I wanted though.. I asked if I could order the E720. That was no problem. Something in my mind told me to ask for the price. The same lady told the guy that it was 10€ cheaper than the E730. And now comes the funny part.. The E730 costed 380€!!!! I was like; "HUH? It costed 329€ here before!" And then the lady AND the guy told me that -I- was wrong. It all smelled fishy to me so I told them to stick that phone.. No, really, I just told them I'd go look somewhere else.

Next store I found, the E720 was still in store and costed 339€. Now that's more like it!
The phone TOTALLY rocks. And if all goes well I can even call within the US with it! :D It makes great pictures and videos too! WITH sound!
Now the only thing I need to change is the ringtones. They're kinda weird, but I'll see if I can download some new ones. :)
