That was really something,
if only for the moment.
Love is strong and knows no boundaries,
or at least, so I've been told.

Like a hurried storm that only lasts an instant,
I gave it my all.
There was no turning back once it all began,
not even to remember.

He made me cry,
but I'm ok now.
He broke my heart,
but I can put it back together.
Just because he shut the door on my glimmer of hope,
doesn't mean that I can't open it wide once again.

The air may be dry and the earth may be hard,
but I can still breathe deep and step softly.
The wind may be strong,
but I am stronger.
If nothing else,
I will always be resilient.

Tomorrow is another day.
A day full of light.
