Obligatory Korra post.
It was an amazing finale, and I am glad I watched it with amazing people in an amazing city (Berkeleyyyy!).
I love all the characters that are not Korra and Mako sooo much more than ever. I fucking hate Korra and Mako at the moment, and the deus ex machina they pulled out was eyeroll-worthy but inevitable.
So excited for Bumi and I have the hots for Iroh II. Unnnnffff, like UNFFF.
Iroh will be my motivation for working out when I get back to LA.
---------------------
So yesterday Jessica took me around Berkeley and we got some Urban Turban (probably spelled that wrong) and had an overall nice time. We got free jambalaya that her cute roommate made and we watched Avatar and did a lot of dishes. Did some early Christmas shopping as well and made cookies.
Today was more Avatar-watching at Caitlin's apartment. We watched the finale (my brief thoughts above) and watched a bunch of season 1 episodes. We painted our nails beforehand. Had a long-winded conversation about Avatar with Jess which then led to her ranting about "kids these days," which never really make much sense to me because I can not know whether my generation was any better through an objective perspective. I don't like those arguments, I don't like complaining about those things for which I have no evidence to support my claims. So as much as I love Jess, I essentially told her to shut up and go to sleep.
Tomorrow will be the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade-- fun!
Berkeley has been amazing each day.
Also, give me an Iroh on the streets and a Bumi in the sheets. PLEASE
