Astro Bot is still the wonderful tribute to PlayStation history and hardware design that Astro’s Playroom was, but it has been given room to grow beyond a characterful tech demo and into the best platform game I have played in many years. Actually, it’s one of the best platformers I’ve ever played, – and, as a child of the 90s, I truly have played a tonne of them. PlayStation has been lacking a great homegrown family-friendly game since LittleBigPlanet, and Astro Bot is a worthy inheritor of that series’ playfully humorous legacy.

In a world of by-the-numbers sequels and soulless cash grabs, Astro Bot stands as an oasis, an absolute masterpiece packed to the brim with charm, creativity, and a genuine love for video games, old and new. There are still four months left in the year, but if I'm being honest, I think I've already found my pick for game of the year.

With copious amounts of variety, a delightful presentation, rewarding collectibles, an absurd amount of references, and cuteness to spare, ASTRO BOT is one of the best 3D platformers ever created. It's essentially a tribute to gaming as a whole.

After years, Astro Bot made it to the star of the platforming genre in PlayStation universe bringing full-fledge game with tens of rich levels, funny power-ups, secret passaged and different planets. It is one of a few games you’ll enjoy without stress, pressure and will admire the creativity of Team Asobi.

Every second spent on the game testifies to the enormous skill of the developers and the love they have for the PlayStation universe. A highly enjoyable adventure from start to finish.

Astro Bot is what we needed after playing Astro's Playroom for a long time; the student surpasses the teacher, but it is difficult to tell the difference between both games. This is a space adventure full of surprises, challenges and immersion that is only possible with the DualSense controller. This game is essentially a thank-you letter to PlayStation fans.

It's great game! It's have that special PlayStation sign in that game and have really well designed missions. It's nostalgic for those who were been game since 2000s. The only problem I have with this game which is in platinum road you have to go and do some repetitive missions but their blended to this good game play . I hope in future we have more games like this

Peerless DualSense haptics and relentless visual charm deliver undeniable, smile-inducing platforming delight from start to finish. However, beneath its immaculate polish, the experience relies far too heavily on corporate PlayStation nostalgia pandering rather than building genuine mechanical depth. Brilliant power-ups are treated as disposable single-level gimmicks and discarded before they can ever be deeply mastered, while a trivial main path makes the isolated challenge void levels feel like jarring difficulty spikes rather than earned tests of skill. Predictable three-phase boss designs and the lingering sensation of playing a lavish, full-priced hardware commercial keep it from rivaling the genre's finest masterpieces. A joyous, tactile showcase that fundamentally plays it safe behind its corporate celebration.

Fun game for kids, but I don’t get the hype. Having only single life is idiotic, also game is unbalanced. Boss fights are generally not fun and quite punishing.

It would be a quite good game if not for the unfair mechanics and control, specially at square, X, O, and triangle levels. As for the rest, it's a simple game, very easy to finish, not as easy to fully complete. And, by the way, it's definitely not a GOTY. Not by chance.

You gotta be kidding me. This is extremely overrated and damages the accountability of this platform. Comparing this game to other legendary titles is offensive for a gamer. I don't know if someone is paying reviewers or if bots are review-bombing, but it's terrible; the platform just can't be taken seriously like this.
