Oneiric Worlds
👋🏻 Hi! I'm Mathias, a solo indie dev from France creating inspiring and colorful video games. My main game is Zefyr, a colorful and super feel good odyssey with a PS2 vibe, somewhere between Zelda Windwaker and Beyond Good n Evil. 🎮 Video Game Creation Currently, my main project is Zefyr: A Thief's Melody. I've been working on it since 2013. It's a 3D cartoon adventure/stealth game with a contemplative atmosphere where you can climb everywhere and sail on a turtle. Check out the trailer: But during this long journey, I also keep releasing other "smaller" games: 🐬 Slide - Animal Race: a couch multiplayer cute racing game with animals 🎁 Silent Night - a Christmas Delivery: an endless chill scoring game where you ride Santa's sleigh to deliver presents during Christmas Eve. 🕹️ ...and many other little games ranging from casual "hide and seek" to spatial 3D shooters. Discover and play the games here. 📖 Sharing Knowledge While creating games, I also share my experiences about art creation & game development: Tutorial videos on YouTube (in French, because we really lack resources) Articles/Making-ofs on my dev blog I like to share what I learn, because I've learned a lot by watching other people do stuff! 💖 Your Support I regularly need to take side jobs to fund myself, which means less time available to work on the actual games. That's why I've come to Patreon! There are very few game developers on Patreon because video games have a VERY LONG development time (at least the kind I do). We're talking about months or even years of full-time work. That's why I've chosen a monthly pledge, to be able to keep working on the games in the long run. Even after "Zefyr," I have plenty of other projects in mind to keep creating cool video games (but I'll keep them smaller)! ✨ Thanks A LOT for your help 🙏🏻 💎 Rewards As it's already super time-consuming to create a video game, I've tried to limit the rewards to something I can handle: credits listing & game access. Plus, it seems that many of you are here to support my work regardless of the rewards. That's why I don't offer merchandise and other extravagant items. Also, it doesn't align with my philosophy of trying to limit our consumption of material goods. In all cases, I'll keep sharing my tutorials for free. By pledging, you're supporting video game creation and kindly contributing to knowledge-sharing for everyone. And who knows? Maybe this will help other people (including yourself?) start creating awesome things somewhere in this world. ❔ FAQ Do you create everything alone? Yes, I do. This includes code, graphics, animation, textures, UI, music, sounds, level design & game design. Of course, I'm not an expert in each of these fields, but I really enjoy every part of it. I like being at the confluence between tech/science and art. Are the games playable on consoles/mobiles? Globally speaking, no. Some are mobile-friendly, but I don't develop specifically for mobile. And I hope that someday some of my games will be available on consoles. Can I play the games on Linux/MacOS? Usually, I don't release MacOS and Linux versions, mainly because I can't test them. But I think you can play on these OS through Steam Proton. I found a bug! You can tell me on my social networks or the Discord server.
