No Silver Lining Stories

Stories that are rooted in a negative situation with a minor positive outcome are not allowed. Stories about conquering your fears/challenges on the other hand are allowed.

No shaming/negative comments

Comments which are negative in nature or shaming the OP are not allowed.

No reposts without attribution

Content which is blatantly stolen/reposted without reattribution (in particular content created but reddit users) will be removed. Depending on the severity (i.e user is a known reposter) a temporary ban shall be given.

No vague posts

Submissions that are a one liner such as "She makes me happy" or "I love my kids/dogs/tree/foot" will removed. The intent is to share stories, we don't expect an essay but a description of why this picture is special to you. Text posts are even better if you feel the need to elaborate.

No meme posts

Low effort content such as posting memes (even with a positive message) will be removed.

Shameless self-promotion is not allowed

If you want to share a site or channel you created message the mods first.

No AI content

We do not allow AI content of any kind on the subreddit

Personal stories only

Members may share only their own personal experiences, stories, and firsthand accounts. Do not post stories about other people or relay someone else’s experiences as your own.

No motivational quotes

Do not post motivational quotes by themselves.

No engagement baiting

Generic personal-question threads (“What makes you happy?”, “When was the last time you smiled?”, etc.) are not permitted. Keep posts relevant to the purpose of the community.

No questions as a title

Use clear, declarative titles instead of questions designed to provoke or solicit responses. Titles should state the topic, point, or purpose directly rather than asking the reader something.
