Stop the flow of corporate money
Building the biggest heated oil pipeline in the world is expensive work and Total and China National Offshore Oil Corporation canât go it alone â they need support from investors, banks, insurers, technical advisors and construction contractors from around the world.
Thatâs where you come in!
We know from experience that companies take notice when enough people speak up about their decisions and actions. For example, following our advocacy, the African Development Bank has declared it is not financing the pipeline. So whoâs next?
If we can stop the money pipeline to EACOP, then we can stop the actual pipeline.
# FOR CLIMATE
The future of East Africa relies on building sustainable, diversified and inclusive economies â not by letting huge multinational corporations extract resources and keep the profit.

Here are some actions
you can take to help #StopEACOP

Demand #Marshdropeacop
US company Marsh has been hired as insurance broker for EACOP, meaning theyâre in charge of convincing insurers to underwrite EACOP. Marsh has dropped other deadly projects because of public pressure before. Together we can make them drop EACOP too.Â

Support legal action against Total
Total plans to drill more than 400 oil wells in Ugandaâs Murchison Falls national park. Survie and Friends of the Earth France are using the French corporate duty of vigilance law in an attempt to prevent Total from putting at considerable risk or causing irreversible damage to local communities, biodiversity, environment and climate.

Keep the oil in the ground â save Murchison Falls!
Murchison Falls National Park is one of Africaâs jewels â every year, thousands of people come from all over the world to enjoy the spectacle of the Victoria Nile thundering down the cliffs of a narrow gorge. But this could soon be history if France's Total and the China National Offshore Oil Corporation get their way. Sign the Rainforest Rescue petition.

Call out Totalâs hypocrisy: Petition Totalâs CEO
If thereâs a company that loves to boast about its commitment to being a âresponsible energy majorâ itâs Total. Join with over one million people in telling its CEO, Patrick PouyannÃĐ, to start living up to his promises by cancelling EACOP now.
