If it hasn't been clear as day already, I can't get enough of Arc Raiders. The game has now completed a month of its full public release, and every single one of my 150 hours has been nothing but pure fun and addiction. It's the moment-to-moment gameplay of looting, shooting, and extracting that is so inherently rewarding here that it takes real effort to shut down the game and get any work done.

When I am playing, though, I can't help but appreciate how varied and diverse the game's five different maps are, and how the emergent gameplay is so wildly different on each map. Still, this is a looter-shooter at its core, so with looting being one of the three pillars that Arc Raiders stands on, here's a quick guide to the only spots on each map you should be visiting and looting in.

Dam Battlegrounds — Control Tower and Research-Administration Building

Money, weapons, blueprints, tech, and everything in between

There's just no denying this one. On Dam Battlegrounds, the first (and most beloved) map in Arc Raiders, wherever you are, you should be making your way to the Control Tower. It's heavily contested sometimes, yes, but I'm willing to bet that only a handful of players in your lobby would know just how much there is to loot. Technological, Security, and Commercial loot is ripe for the picking here, and even mechanical loot by salvaging it from whatever tech you don't need.

There's also the map's best money run here to pack you with 50K+ coins every single time, but there's also the Floodgates right next door. This is where you'll get 2 Security Breach lockers (additional to the one in the Control Tower) for an incredible amount of weapons, blueprints, and even grenades, all within a hundred meters of the control tower. Even better is the locked room at the top, which is the best, most pristine loot on the map, and now that the door exploits have been fixed, it's fair game for those who play by the book.

Add to that a total of seven weapon case spawns, and a supply call station, and you've got a 100-meter radius that you simply don't need to stray from.

Buried City — Space Travel, Research, and Galleria

More plants than you can shake a lawn mower at

Now, before you say that the Hospital is the best loot spot in Arc Raiders' Buried City map, hear me out about how you'd be wrong. The hospital is good for medical supplies, yes, but not much else. Plus, it's also an insane PvP hotspot, so you're better off avoiding it like, well, the plague.

Instead, try making your way to the Galleria every single time. Not only is there more Great Mullein in there than you'll need for herbal bandages, but you can salvage them all to neatly pack them into one big Assorted Seeds inventory slot. The Galleria roof also holds a weapon case, and it's a fantastic spot to fight the Bombardier if one spawns on top of the Parking Garage, or the Bastion if it spawns next to Galleria.

Sixth floor of the Space Travel building in Arc Raiders.

Cross over into Space Travel with the zipline right in front of the Galleria Entrance, and you get a breach door on Floor 6, which holds some of the best tech loot on the map. Any medical supplies? Well, the Research building is attached to Space Travel, and nine times out of ten, it'll give you what you're looking for. Now, here's the best part — the Library is where you should go from here, since it's got a whole line of lockers to loot from, which often hold blueprints if you're lucky, and valuable Old World loot even if the RNG doesn't like you.

Between these three buildings and the parking garage in the middle, you have five whole Supply Call Station spawn points to pick from, four weapon cases to search for, a well-packed locked room on the fourth floor of Space Travel, and even a slew of Mechanical Loot inside the Parking Garage. Lastly, these buildings are designed such that you will always be able to hear someone coming, and I swear that, for some reason, the folks you meet here are friendlier and more open to ceasefires than those you meet at the Hospital. Oh, and a metro station entrance smack-dab in the middle of all these buildings for when things get hot.

Spaceport — Control Tower A6, Container Storage, and Vehicle Maintenance

There's so much going on between these three buildings

Spaceport, to me, is perhaps the least interesting map in Arc Raiders, partly because it's the only one without a unique visual identity. Still, that doesn't take away from the plethora of loot found in just a 100-meter radius near Control Tower 6. Make your way to the top of the Control Tower (if you have a key) for some of the best loot this map has to offer, and a Security Breach locker while you're at it. Then, make your back down to Container Storage for four whole floors of loot and another locked room with insane medical and resource supplies.

Cross over to kill the Bastion patrolling in the middle, and both buildings around it offer plenty of rooms to just jump on top of it to plant a deadline and duck back into cover for an entire Bastion's loot. And if you're looking for the ever-evasive Rusted Gear or even for other Mechanical and Industrial loot, there's no better place than the Vehicle Maintenance Building.

Among these three buildings, you get to kill a Bastion, 3 Supply Call Stations, 2 locked rooms, 3 weapon cases, and, of course, the Security Breach locker at the top of the tower. What more would you want? Oh, and if there's someone sniping at ARC drones from the top of Control Tower 6, odds are it's me. It's a fantastic sniper's nest, too, which is just the icing on the blood-laden cake.

Blue Gate — The Mountains and Warehouse Complex

Look for treasure under the surface

Now, at first glance, heading to the huge red loot area of Gate Approach and Checkpoint might make sense when you load on to the Blue Gate, but trust me when I tell you that's not where the best loot is. Because the best loot is the one you can come back with, and Gate Approach is where PvP gets as intense as possible.

So, what you should do instead, is make your way to Reinforced Reception and head down. From here on out, keep your gun ready, your finger on the trigger, and your head on a swivel. The tunnels underneath the Reception lead all the way to the area beneath the Warehouse Complex, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that every room and corridor here is ripe for the picking with some of the best loot in the whole game, not just this map. Red lockers with blueprints, breach doors with grenade tubes and Security Breach lockers, a Bastion to kill if your explosives are getting too heavy in the bag, 4 locked rooms, 4 Security Breach lockers, and a whopping thirteen weapon cases. What more could you possibly want?

If you do want more, well, there are also three Supply Call Stations here, and one extraction point each on either side of the loot area. This is where I've found the most blueprints, and that is before the insane Red-and-Blue-line puzzle that leads to some of the best loot in Arc Raiders. If you're loading onto the Blue Gate map, a couple of runs in this area, and you'll be packed to the neck, spoiled for choice regarding what to take back home the next time around.

Stella Montis — Assembly Workshops' rocket thrusters

The hard part is making it back safe with all the loot

Arc Raider's newest map is Stella Montis, which is a bona fide PvP map. This is where even the friendliest players get crazed with bloodlust, and yours truly hasn't been immune to said phenomenon, either. At the same time, this map is also the richest in terms of loot. It's almost impossible not to come out of this place without S-tier, purple loot filling up half your inventory, so the hard part is holding on to all the good stuff when there are five other players around you at any given time, ready to fill you up with lead.

Wherever you spawn on the map, just try to make your way to the Assembly Workshops. In my experience, this area is left pretty much alone after the first five minutes in any round, so the coast should be clear. Still, it's better to keep things quick, even though this area is perhaps one of the few low-PvP areas on the map. Look closely on the map, and you'll see two huge rocket thrusters here.

This is the one spot on Stella Montis I never miss, even if I have to go out of my way to reach it.

Between these two thrusters are two attached rooms chock-full of loot, and the thrusters themselves are breachable and hold some guaranteed S-tier loot, which is usually Exodus Modules. Grab the first one, then move into the rooms next to it, grab the pristine loot from the Security Breach locker, and loot the rooms in the upper floors for guaranteed Magnetrons and Exodus Modules. Almost every drawer you search here could have purple or blue loot, which is why I can't believe they haven't nerfed this area vis-à-vis loot quality. Then, breach the second thruster, pick out the loot, and there's a raider hatch extraction right next to it.

It's not a huge area to loot, but in terms of loot quality, two runs here could set you up with over 100K coins if you sell it, along with providing some rare loot you need for the higher-tier weapons. This is the one spot on Stella Montis I never miss, even if I have to go out of my way to reach it.

Your stash will be overflowing before you know it

Mastering where to loot is about respecting the game and its grind.

Arc Raiders thrives on chaos, but it's the kind of chaos you can shape, survive, and profit from if you know exactly where to go, and when to move. These maps are thriving ecosystems built around risk, sound, verticality, and, of course, players who are just as greedy as you are.

So, mastering where to loot doesn't feel like you're cheating the system. Instead, it's about respecting the game and its grind.
