Arc Raiders players are certainly having a whale of a time. Not only are they playing one of the best extraction shooters ever made, but its PC community, apparently, is friendlier than console-only lobbies. More importantly, though, PC players of Arc Raiders on Steam have been achievement hunting like there's no tomorrow, including yours truly. However, some of Arc Raiders' achievements are incredibly difficult to achieve.
Looking at the global achievements for Arc Raiders on Steam, I saw that there are six achievements in the game that not even 2% of the Steam player base has been able to earn yet. WIthout delay, I decided to get those first, and figure out why these were the least achieved ones. Some are tough, and a couple are downright impossible, for all the wrong reasons.
Death From Above is intimidating but fun
This Arc Raiders achievement is genuinely daunting
I can't lie – the Death from Above Steam achievement for Arc Raiders sounded really daunting at first. After all, you're supposed to climb on top of a Rocketeer – the huge rocket-launching drone that somehow always hovers over the exact extraction elevator you're heading to. No wonder only 1.4% of players actually managed to do it.
The trick? Just wait for a Harvester event. That's the one where a formidable Queen ARC spawns, because while the Queen guards a Harvester, a Rocketeer guards the queen from above. I used a Photoelectric Cloak to hide my approach, and right when I was underneath the Rocketeer, used a Snap Hook to latch on to it, spammed the climb button, and that was it. One Lure Grenade, placed square on the Queen down below (big target, hard to miss), and the Rocketeer immediately launches a bunch of rockets into it.
If you don't have a Snap Hook or Cloak, it's still easy to achieve.
If you somehow walk out of it alive after the Rocketeer barrel rolls to shake you off, congratulations. If not, you still get the achievement, much like yours truly. If you don't have a Snap Hook or a Photoelectric Cloak, don't worry. I've done this another way, too.
Just hide somewhere close to the Queen, shoot once at the Rocketeer to lure it towards you, and throw a Hornet Driver at it (you get that from destroying and looting any Hornet). The Rocketeer goes down, lands at your feet, you climb atop it, and et voilà. Just use a couple of Lure Grenades to guide it towards the Queen, and stick one last Lure on the Queen itself. Congratulations on that new achievement!
A Tale for the Ages definitely earns its name
Only for the bravest lone wolves
The "A Tale for the Ages" achievement in Arc Raiders is pretty tough. No special actions to be taken, but just a Queen ARC to be killed. And according to Steam, only 1.4% of players, once again, have been able to achieve this special feat, whether by themselves or in teams.
There's really no trick to this one, is there? Load into a Harvester event and take down a Queen. Or, well, play a part in destroying it. How? Well, before Embark decided to nerf the Hullcracker rocket launcher into oblivion, it still took about 200 ammo to take the Queen down, solo. Which is why I would never recommend that in sound mind.
If you decide to take on the Queen solo, that'll be a lot of firepower to use... or lose.
As such, I'd recommend teaming up with a few other raiders if you end up in a friendly lobby, or just head on over to the official Arc Raiders Discord server to look for like-minded people interested in regicide. Wolfpack Grenades are your best friend here – pack at least a dozen among your team, and spam the Queen with them after you take down the Rocketeer above it.
Make sure you have cover, and can still stay mobile. If you do wish to take on the Queen solo, it will take one Photoelectric Cloak and nine Deadline mines. That's a lot to use, and if things go south, a lot to lose.
The "For Science!" achievement will have you hurting in a lot of ways
Experimenting with the elements
Inarguably the easiest achievement to achieve (which makes me wonder how it's the lowest-achieved at 0.6% globally), the For Science achievement just wants to see you in pain. Grab a Gas Grenade Trap, a Blaze Grenade Trap, and a Jolt Mine, and you're all set. Don't even bother taking anything else – no augment, no shields, no weapons.
Make sure you don't load up into the Practice Range map for this, because you can't get the achievement on that map.
Armed with a gas, fire, and electric trap, all you need to do now is load into any of the five maps. Still, I'd recommend avoiding Stella Montis like the plague – that map is cramped and PvP-heavy, and you might not be able to stay alive long enough to achieve this achievement.
Just equip all your traps one-by-one, and set them down in a straight line. Make sure you don't step on any of the others while planting the next mine, though. Once all three traps are set, just go ahead and walk right on top of them to get burn, stun, and gas statuses simultaneously. That's it, there's your achievement! Now, it's up to you if you want to play the rest of the game, or just walk right in front of the next guy you see and become rifle fodder.
Make sure you do not plant the mines on top of each other, otherwise two out of three of them will refuse to function if you step on them.
Just Dropping In – more players should be earning this achievement
Bonks don't get any more rewarding
For this one, you just need to get hit on the head by a landing supply drop. Easy enough, right? Then why have only 1.1% of players done it? Load into whichever map you prefer, and then, I'd recommend referring to this website to check for Supply Call Stations on the map you're on. They're pretty abundant on every map, so just pick the one closest to you. They almost always spawn aplenty, so just hit the spot of the second-closest one if you aren't lucky enough to run into one on your first try.
Once you've shot the flare to call the Supply Drop, do not stay still. Look up and follow the flare as it floats above in the sky and picks a direction, and then explodes into a bunch of fireworks. This fireworks explosion spot is exactly what you need to be under. Just make sure you aren't standing in too open a spot, because Supply Calls tend to attract a lot of raider attention.
Carefully line yourself up with the Supply Drop as it slowly lands, but be quick – those things do come down faster than you'd think. You want it to hit you square on the head, and there's your achievement for getting bonked right on the dome.
Enemy of my Enemy – bugged achievement
It's a tough ask, but also currently impossible
You read that right – these are two achievements that 0% of the PC player base has achieved, and it isn't because they're extremely tough. They're just bugged. The Enemy of my Enemy achievement needs you to down an encountered raider by using a Snitch Scanner on them. I was lucky enough to run into someone willing to be my guinea pig, and the drones did their job, but sadly, I never got the achievement. That's simply because it's bugged, and you can't get this achievement even if you do what it asks.
Try the peaceful way where you load into a map with a defibrillator so you can talk to other raiders and request them to go down for you, with the promise of reviving them. Throw in a couple of extra goodies for them if they decide to help you out.
If you don't find anyone that cooperative, then this achievement becomes tougher to achieve. You'll need to fight a little first, to whittle down the encountered raider's health. That's when the Snitch Scanner should be thrown to do its job, so that even a couple of shots from the two Wasps that land may finish the job for you. I'd also recommend throwing a Gas Grenade or Hornet Driver at the player you're fighting so they can't sprint and are stuck in place if they try to make a break for it.
Hook, Line, and Sinker – funniest thing you can do Topside
Fun-as-hell to do, but also impossible right now
If you think about it, this achievement could also be called Enemy of my Enemy, right? To achieve this, you need to make one drone attack another. It's infinitely enjoyable to watch, but impossible to achieve right now because it's bugged, too.
Still, that doesn't mean there isn't an easy way to do this. All you need are a couple of Lure Grenades and a Snitch Scanner if need be. If you load into a map with a Snitch Scanner, then just find a nice place to hide where you can throw the Scanner into a small area of open land, but can remain hidden close by. Two Wasp drones should spawn, and since they won't find anything, they'll become normal in a minute. Creep up on them slowly, and hit one of them with a Lure Grenade. That should do the trick – the other Wasp should immediately begin shooting at its mate. It's a drone eat drone world, after all.
The reason I recommend taking more than just one Lure Grenade, or even two, is because you can miss your first throw. In fact, when I tried this, the Wasp that was supposed to shoot the patsy took its sweet time loading up, during which the Lure Grenade's effect wore off. So, it definitely pays to keep another couple of Lure Grenades handy if you're looking to get the Hook, Line, and Sinker Steam achievement for Arc Raiders.

These achievements are the least-earned, but the most fun
These achievements will have you doing the kind of stuff you'd see in a YouTube clip.
It's wild how some of the most fun-to-achieve Steam achievements in Arc Raiders are also some of the least earned. It feels like the entire player base is missing out on an immense amount of fun – turning ARC against each other, getting burnt and gassed for "science", or literal Rocketeer riding. It's the kind of stuff you'd see in an Instagram reel or YouTube clip, but you can easily be doing these too, cackling while you're at it.
