Arc Raiders servers are down yet again
Hello, new visitors! This post initially covered a huge server outage that Arc Raiders had a few days ago. However, it seems that the servers have gone down a second time in the space of a few days, and people want answers. We're seeing 8,000 reports on DownDetector right now; a good deal fewer than last time, but still pretty serious.
It seems that people can't get into matchmaking on the PC version of Arc Raiders, and consoles seem unaffected. Community Lead Oscar on the Discord had the following to say:
Raiders! We're aware of server issues currently affecting the game, and the team is in full force - actively investigating! As soon as I have more information, I'll let you all know. enlist. resist
If you've been trying to log into Arc Raiders and wondering why nothing can connect, don't worry; it's not just you. As it turns out, there's growing evidence that Arc Raiders is currently experiencing some downtime. And while we're not sure of the details, all we can say for sure is that we can do nothing but wait until it comes back.
DownDetector reports that Arc Raiders is experiencing issues
Reports are flooding into DownDetector claiming that Arc Raiders' servers has gone down. DownDetector is a useful website where people can manually report when a specific service goes down, which usually identifies faults before even the service provider can identify what's going on.
If you take a look at the page for Arc Raiders, you'll see that the game usually gets around 20-30 reports per poll. However, that has now shot up to a whopping 29,258 at the time of writing, meaning people are flooding the website to inform everyone that something has gone awry.
People are flooding to social media to report the issue, claiming that there's currently a problem with connecting to the game's servers.
The company hasn't made a post about this outage, so stay tuned as we dig into why this happened.
Unfortunately, this major outage has just come after the company posted that its game has been nominated for Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards. Let's hope this hiccup doesn't cause the studio to lose out on that sweet, sweet trophy.
