Apertis is a specialist Debian-based Linux distribution originally tailored to automotive use cases, but later grown to fit for a wide variety of electronic devices. It provides extensive software management (from source code to signed binary packages in repositories), a complete testing framework including hardware-in-loop, and resilient upgrade capabilities. The distribution is available for Aarch64, armhf and x86_64 architectures, delivered either as IMG files suitable for writing to USB devices or OVA files for testing in virtual machines.
