Pulsar OS is a Linux distribution that seeks to imitate the functionality and appearance of Apple's MacOS. It is available in two variants - either as a cutting-edge, rolling-release edition based on Arch Linux, or as a well-tested, fixed-release flavour based on Debian's "Stable" branch. Both use a highly-customised GNOME desktop and offer a choice of two boot managers - GRUB and rEFInd. Some of the other features of Pulsar OS include the ability to restore sessions between reboots, integration of an artificial intelligence assistant called Sayri, a Nautilus file browser with the look-and-feel of Finder, and a universal package manager.

 This has potential. For a Mac OS look a like and similar to PearOS, this is really good start. I ran into a number of bugs and in a lot of cases, it's smoother than PearOS is. I installed this on an HP Mini 7000 series, i7 12th Gen CPU with 16 gigs of ram, 512Gb NVMe, and Intel UHD 730 video card and the install went pretty smooth. My first bug was that there was an Icon to "Install Pulsar" left over after I did the install on both the desktop and on the deskbar that I had to remove after the fact, that was no big deal but still something. The second one was even thought it came with the "Pulsar Store" icon in the taskbar, it opened up a IOS Apple look alike store that was a modified Discover app manager, I could not install anything. The installer would fail with an error that the Flatpak package manager and dependencies were missing.

Like I said, this looks great and looks very much like a Mac OS interface and desktop and has great potential and I think the main webpage mentioned that it was still in development, I've been testing a lot of Distro's lately, but this one I marked on my spreadsheet to come back around and try again in a couple of months as it's got a great start to this. I'm hoping that they can iron out some of the bugs because the apps that came included, like Firefox, ran pretty smooth and responsive. It just needs to be able to be tweaked by the user some more.
