It is like a destabilized version of Devuan no matter which version you install. The impression is that the system feels broken rather than getting a polished well put together experience. The developer seems to take devuan, install the packages that are advertised and create the iso without any QA work done on it. I did reach out to the developer via email from the website but the developer did not respond at all and judging by some previous reviews and the dates on the iso's, coupled with the social media activity, it seems the developer does not take any advise from end users and focuses on the promotion of the project rather than building a solid foundation. I am not a social media user so dont interact this way. I found it easier to install devuan and then xlibre if I am being honest which defeats the purpose of what the distro is trying to achieve. The end goal should be a polished well put together distro with the advertised components which I feel the developer does not achieve. Good concept but you sacrifice the stability and consistency of Devuan. Best to use devuan and configure as you like. Its more stable. Was this review helpful? Es como si un cualquiera aplicó una corrida de penguin-eggs o similiar y el liveiso resultante solo se puede instalar aplicando el imagen completo al disco local. Asi no se puede, te termina chupando el configuracion default que no es compatible del todo. Al final despues de instalar terminarás arreglando lo que hay que no funciona. Vendefoul problem is the installation method. Its a penguin-eggs generated liveiso that can only be applied as-is. The default configuration isn't all that compatible. I installed it because I wanted to try a systemd free distro and I wanted a more "out of the box" Devuan experience, since I'm more familiar to the Debian-APT ecosystem. Has been very stable for me, with no issues at all. The installation was painless, simple and without issues. Of course still a very new and small Distro and still needs more polishing here and there, I see Vendefoul Wolf having a nice and bright future. I really appreciate their views about the Linux world and their strong position against Age Verification. I see myself recommending Vendefoul Wolf more in the future, after a little more polishing.
